Wow I didn't know it was that much of an extent.

Looking it up: the border between CA/NV/UT and OR/ID (as well as PA/NY) is 42 degrees N.

Detroit is 42.33 degrees and Toledo is 41.65 degrees N.

Because of how all maps are distorted, it can be difficult to visualize the true size of Africa. This chart was always cool to me.

Essentially all of the US, China, India, Mexico, Japan, and most of Europe could fit within the land area of Africa.

Another interesting geographic tidbit (for me) is how further north European cities are compared to North American (like Paris is further north than Minneapolis).

The below graphic maps out the euro cities on North America and vice versa.

names for things that you didn't know had names:

the little piece of plastic or metal at the end of a shoelace is called an "aglet."

The eye chart in a eye doctor's office is called the Snellen Chart - named after Dutch Opthalmologist Herman Snellen. Although some doctors now use a newer chart called the "LogMar" chart.

the fleshy skin around the neck of a turkey is called a "snood."

Yup. And only one of those QB's (Jalen Hurts) is truly a running QB, as in their offense calls a minimum of 8-10 QB running plays per game. Many of the others are mobile QB's, but their offenses do not call 10+ running plays for the QB every game. Josh Allen is probably the closest
