They usually painted over them annually and then the groups got to repaint. Hoping that's still the case.

I also dislike the white M and facemask. I know we've done the maroon version in a loss at Iowa and the gold helmet with white for another road loss (Maryland?). Maybe I'll like it more when we win

This might be one of the first combos this year that has gotten a fair amount of negative comments, most weeks it has been very positive.

For my part, I am a big fan of maroon pants on the road so I like the combo overall though this isn't my favorite version of our helmet.

I don't get the general complaints about the lack of gold in some of the combos though. Yes our name is Golden Gophers but the school colors are maroon and gold so as long as one or both of those colors is featured that is all that really matters.

Plus there is plenty of gold, even in this combo. Gold on pants, jersey and helmet even if not the primary color.

I guess the helmet is pretty devoid of Gold in this look, when I watched it initially I thought there was gold in the stripe down the middle but was wrong on that.

Definitely not my favorite helmet look but overall I don't have any real issues with this uniform combo. Always been a big fan of white jersey/maroon pants on the road.

Yeah, my favorite away has always been MWG. Just my opinion...this helmet would look better with gold M, stripe and grill with this combo. Just win baby.
