p.s. how are former UW basketball players diamond taylor and jeremy glover doing since they were arrested and kicked out of UW for burglary? have they managed to steal any more ipods and notebooks from UW dorms in the last few weeks?

well according to the very well connected and reliable posters, White and Bostick were arrested. So I'm dying to hear what they were arrested for.
 

These guys need to get their heads on straight. Hopefully...the young Mr. Joseph can appreciate Tubby's quick handling of the situation. The timing of all this news couldn't be worse.

Interesting to note that my friend working at Roy Wilkins Apartments said that White had already been kicked out, after several warnings of various degrees, of the apartment building for several repeated noise violations involving parties at his room. Seems like this report or news following this falls in line with that.
 

White's actions certainly warrant his suspension. I'm troubled by the inconsistent treatment going on with the football team. Michael Carter's offense wouldn't seem to be significantly better then White's yet he's being allowed to play and his punishment is 'handled internally.' If anything I would expect Tubby to be given the benefit of the doubt to 'handle things internally', not Brewster. Carter should be facing a couple games off as well.

Badger players are kicked off the team and sometimes out of school when they steal things. This is not true at many universities, including some in the Big Ten.

Back on point, yes, Bronko, I have a well placed source at your favorite school. I even get bad news from this person. Members of the GH staff were passed along info by me last week in this regard. I have waited until the news broke to post anything, and I'm not posting all I know. You really need to grow up skippy.

A "couple games" in a 12 games season is quite a bit different then a couple games in a 30 game season don't you think?

Of course. But we don't know how long Royce will be suspended for. I suspect it will be more then a couple games. Also, suspending Carter for Illinois and SDSU is like suspending Royce for all the games prior to the Anaheim Classic, i.e. relatively easy games where they aren't needed. In any case, Carter should at least be susepnded for some duration even if the length is up to debate.

I think I've commented on this in two threads, one on each board, how terrible of me. I'm not one of the people demanding Brewter be fired, I simply find the lack of discipline on and off the field very alarming. I will give Tubby much more slack given his long-held reputation, but this week isn't his finest hour either.

At least he seems to be doling out appropriate punishment, however. Brewster, I cannot say the same of.

How do they miss that story?

I wonder why Tubby let them practice for a week before suspending them? Or were they really not practicing?

I suppose it will all come out sooner or later. I wonder what the other guy did.

If Royce has anything like this pop up again I hope he is booted off this team. The kid seems to think he is the second coming of MJ or something. I am not sure if this kid is going to "get it" for a long time.

On a side note, for the people remarking on the inconsistant approaches between Tubby and Brew, well I don't see it. I think what Royce White did is considerably worse. Michael Carter got drunk and went out for pizza (how many college kids do you think did that this weekend?), and during his night he acted like a complete baffoon and got into trouble. That is bad, but it isn't that much different than I would guess thousands of other college kids did this weekend. However, Royce White made a decision to drive to Macy's and steal. When he left his house that day, he had full intention of breaking a law and pissing on the program. Michael Carter was a drunk college kid who acted stupid, Royce was acting like a criminal not a college kid.
