Troublesome Myron Tweet - Bostick and White suspended

Just saw that too....I really want to know more this is not a good way to start the season.

I am going to keep tweeting back at him until he writes me back haha....

Hopefully we get our disciplinary issues figured out before the Thanksgiving tourney.

Yikes, that's not good.

Hopefully it's nothing more than a skipped study hall session, and "suspended indefinitely" means no more than the 2 exhibition games + the season opener, though with the schedule they have one could argue the Gophers can afford to be short-handed until Anaheim.

Some kids just don't "get it", apparently.

This is about the time midterms are out right?

Academics?

Paul Carter, welcome to the starting line up!

If this is true, it will really tick me off. The last thing we need with Trevor now suspended if to have a bunch of other guys acting like knuckleheads. Grow up and get with the program (literally).

Granted it's the nature of teenagers to think they can get away with anything but one wonders how many wake up calls White needs before he "gets it."

What a buzzkill of a week coming off of a nice football win.

When it rains it pours. This is killing me, why cant these knuckleheads appreciate what they have and just follow the rules.

"If they take care of the things they have to take care of, then it could be less."

Sounds academic in nature to me.

TO me reading that sounds like it is classroom related...

I'm going to assume that this is the case. My buddy, who plays on the MSU football team, said the coach just had "At Risk" notifications sent to him from teachers. Maybe White and Bostick were extremely "at risk"?

Yes, I was especially thinking of our stud freshman when it comes to (not) "getting it". ... at some point in cases like this, one has to think the old adage rings mostly true. ... "A leopard can't change his/her spots." One of my all-time favorite quotes, used quite frequently by college coaches. ... "You are what you are."

On the plus side both of next years commits have close to 4.0's in high school

For those that don't want to go to the link....

StarTribune
Tuesday, Nov. 2nd

Freshman Royce White and senior Devron Bostick have been suspended indefinitely from the Gophers men's basketball team for a violation of team rules, coach Tubby Smith said Tuesday morning. Smith provided no additional details about the disciplinary action.

The Gophers open their exhibition season Thursday night against the University of Minnesota-Duluth at Williams Arena at 7 p.m. The season opener is Nov. 13 against Tennessee Tech (Williams Arena, 7 p.m.).

Team rule violation "usually" means skipping classes and/or study sessions when it comes to academic issues. Whatever it is, they hopefully get things straight asap.

Rumor is that it involves something more then academics. Anyone doing any investigating at the Trib or the PP?
