I'm so excited about this, and don't mind having depth for the backfield at all! In 2014 behind Cobb we had Williams and Kirkwood. In 2019 we had Mo, Brooks and Smith.

Minnesota can basically be a running back factory for the next few years.
 

In the latest GGR podcast, Ryan Burns said he wouldn't count on Potts playing next year due to his injury and noted the vagueness of "see you in 2022". It's not how I read it, but he has more inside info than I ever will.

to follow up on that. Burns pointed out that the final decision may not be up to Potts - the final decision may be up to the U of M and its doctors. drew a parallel to the Jarvis Johnson situation in basketball where Johnson was given a scholarship but never played due to a pre-existing heart condition.

now, as we are painfully aware from this thread, we do not know the exact nature of Potts' medical situation..........but it was clearly something very serious.

So, the U of M - being fairly risk-averse - will have to clear Potts to return to active competition, providing that he does want to return. If there is any question of liability, the U may say "no dice."
 




MPLSGopher views himself as an intellectual. I doubt he’d goof up a your/you’re situation. He definitely wouldn’t write “modo”.

He will get a good education from a prestigious institution if he becomes medical hardship.

Yeah, I didn't want to be a downer but that's kind of how I read the post.

If he really wants to play football, I hope he is able to. Selfishly, I'd love to watch him play for the Gophers too. That said, I'm just happy he is able to go to the game and return to school.

I will say that I just bought a Gopher mug and therefore I DEMAND to know his garage code. so one of you better go find that out for me, I don't want to have to go do it myself again.

This dude, as much as a I disagree with him, actually made a point. It's a point that I didn't like, but we know where he stands.

MPLSGopher meanders around nonsense and word salad. The only real point he ever made was that he hates three car garages.

That could be. The MPLS I thought I knew isn't capable of pulling off a trick. But maybe he's been sandbagging all along.

I kind of figured MPLS, USAF, Boomtime, BarnBurner, and GVBadger were all just troll accounts from Spoofin messing with us.

We are acting like gossiping women? Isn't your entire hissy fit because we didn't supply you with the gossip that you felt entitled to? You came here for more personal details about another man.

You're clearly not fine. I have no idea about your education or career but from a personal standpoint you're clearly not fine. You're melting down because a website wouldn't feed you the gossip you that you earned. That's weird and creepy regardless of whether you have a 1 or 3 car garage.

That said, you got the gossip you wanted. Unfortunately, you had to do it yourself but you're used to that because you're the man. Trey is healthy enough to watch his team play and maybe more. It's Christmas Eve. All is good. Merry Christmas!

Love the Potts news. Don't know if he will play either, but I do hope he gets the final say in how he walks away from the game. A lot of time they're just players on our favorite team, but this brought out a very human side to the players I rarely put into perspective. Glad he's doing better either way.

Very glad to hear Trey is doing well. If he plays for the Gophers again it's icing on the cake.

He's probably more connected to the team than any other reporter in town, but it all depends how much info the coaches are willing to give him.
