Derek Burns did a great job as usual on the GGR podcast breaking down the Nebraska game. On the offense in the second half:
- Gophers coaches went to more "bunch" formations in the which allowed WRs to get off press coverage and gave them angles to block down on LBs and create cutback lanes for Mo.
- AK keeping on zone read and running for a first down immediately changed the eyes of the backside DE and caused him to stay parallel and hesitate a split second longer for the rest of the game -- which was just what Mo needed.
- The long 1:1 shots in the passing game have been there all year, but the staff had pretty much stopped calling them because they've been so unsuccessful. After AK completed one, the staff kept calling them which may have opened up some room underneath.
- KC moved AK out of the pocket multiple times on boots and play action which we hadn't seen much with Tanner this year. We had in the past, but not much this year.
