...and one from Minnesota, I guess two if Bershers is counted. Again, Minnesota is below average... unlike the children from Lake Wobegon. If I read right, 1,100 D1 WBB players entered the portal today so that's about 3 per team on average.
No disrespect to any of the transfers, but everyone left because they weren't good enough to get the minutes they desired. That's what you want as a program.Technically there were 5 Gophers. Jordan Brooks and Tracy Bershears also went to the portal, but I suppose that means they exhausted whatever "eligibility" Dawn was willing to offer them here. Then you forgot Mallory.
Not really. The are maximizing their value. Not all will be able to but that is their goal. There are power conference teams that need 12+ players. No disrespect to any of the transfers, but everyone left because they weren't good enough to get the minutes they desired. Texas’s two players that showed promise in the final four are in the portal. They will get paid.

Not either/or, but both/and...The players that have transferred from the Gophers the last two years may be "maximizing their value" but they left for playing time
I'd say more go for playing time than for money. Some go for the prestige of playing at the highest level they can.The players that have transferred from the Gophers the last two years may be "maximizing their value" but they left for playing time
Agree. But, some go to play for teams that have winning records and a chance at championships and tournaments. The Gopher women BB program is now in a great position where a transfer or recruit will likely play on a winning team and in the NCAA Tournament.I'd say more go for playing time than for money. Hard for a college kid to turn that down; but, also if your a star and go to a program you will have tons of oppourtunities to earn media and local/brand sponsorships.Rumored asking price for McGill is 1.5 million. Would guess that knocks the gophers out (small chance either way)
No. One they were tweeting at was that Swedish player from NC State. Maybe the Gophers could accentuate our Scandanavian heritage here???The UCLA mom’s aren’t wrong…

Do we have the coins for her? She was offered 400k last year to leave NC state.I really appreciate the insights!
Since we won’t be swapping a Hopkins grad point guard for another, how about swapping one NC State post transfer with another?! Tulsa Tryyger is a 6’6” post in the portal that averaged 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds. From Sweden. Reminds me I want to grab lunch at the Swedish Institute in S. Mpls this week.
Our last Swedish post, Amanda Zahui B., turned out pretty great!
Yes, and the Lutheran churches still serve Lutefisk and Swedish meatball dinners! Also, if she is from Northern Sweden, winters run from October to April which might entice her to come to a place that feels like homeIs the Swedish Institute still in Mpls?
Sounds like she’s at least giving the hometown team a visit.Rumored asking price for McGill is 1.5 million. Would guess that knocks the gophers out (small chance either way)

So my info is from Skim Milkey and she has been killing it with correct transfer info. She does not believe Liv will get that number however. She also says Agara also wants 1.5, so the Hopkins girls want to get paidI have a hard time believing there are more than a handful of WBB programs throwing that kinda money around for a single player
