Thom Wynn: Gophers give North Dakota all they can handle

The key to the game was the 5 minute penalty kill, and Rau's energy and talent. It was Rau again gaining puck control along the side boards and drawing the 4th North Dakota Defender to him that opened the ice for Bjugstad, his pass was right on. Rau also was seen throwing his body around the ice. He has an uncanny sense on the ice, and is a pleasure to watch.

Rau is a complete stud...playing way beyond his years. He's just a big time player that also does the little things on penalty kills yet makes the big goals.

Go Gophers!!

The BTN will replay the game at 2:00 or is it actually 1:00 Sunday Morning.

The team has won and shown how to win. From the sweep in Duluth. Playing from the lead, to playing from behind they have got it done. When Patterson got beat for the second goal, there was a short peroid where ND had the momentum. But when Larson scored, it was game on. And there was a sense of not making a mistake and playing for overtime. But a forecheck here Bujstad and Budisch firing shots and short rebound to the weak side and there he was. Rau did it with 48 seconds left. The 6 on 5 kill was anticlimatic and uneventful. Roman speculates the team may rise at least to 3rd, possibly to 1. Bottom line this team has it all and are firing on all cylinders. Sweep the Badgers, This Is Golden Gopher Hockey!
