The Brewster-Weber union.

The fumbles don't matter if his recievers catch the balls that hit them in the hands. We win the game despite of the atrocious D if the recievers catch the balls that hit them in the hands.

Are you saying that based on his play so far this year we should now think that Weber is a good QB? Or we should give him the benefit of the doubt?

Should we ignore history? This thread isn't just about last week, which for the most part was decent day for Weber although the fumbling was a stick in the eye. You understand that, right?

Let me try to put this into perspective. I know the answer to this question would probably scare me but I'll throw it out there anyway:

So would you say that you are the same, smarter, or way f'n dumber than you were last year?

No, we should place the blame of this loss where it belongs, on the secondary. Many people could have played a little better and maybe it would have been a different outcome, but in only one place was play terrible from start to finish.

I agree with that assertion, but this is the Brew-Weber thread, not the defense blows donkeys thread.

Nope.

And I wouldn't pimp Weber's offensive accomplishments last Saturday too hard now. We're talking South Dakota. It's not like he lit up Iowa for 3 TDs. Get real.

And Tarver's Mustache Comb (great name btw) stated, much of the criticism isn't based off of just last Saturday's game. Go back to last year and look at the Gopher's 3rd down conversion numbers and then get back to me.

Need to read the last sentence of my post.

Largely the same. I've "plateaued" I'm afraid. :sadbanana:

Assuming you're going where I think you're going, Weber hasn't gotten better each year though. Is it all his teammates' fault? All injuries? All coordinators?

It's not. We have several years of information to go on here.

I understand there are issues with Weber, I just think there are bigger issues with the defense that don't even compare to our offensive woes at the moment and if not corrected quick, like this weekend, it is going to be a long year. I am not talking about last year I'm focusing on this year.

Jesus, what a terrible analogy Ogee.

Just read your last sentence, wdgold. Must have missed it the first time around. My apologies.

And yeah, the secondary was unimaginably terrible. Just like in week one. And I think it's just going to get worse this Saturday. But as TMC pointed out, this thread isn't about that.

Weber just doesn't seem like a very smart QB on the field, and Brewster doesn't seem like a very smart coach for sticking with him week after week, year after year.

Well, Let's hope for a good showing this weekend all around even if they lose. You never know, maybe last week was a wake up call and they will come out and shock the world. We can only hope, because that is all I have at this point is hope.

There is negative synergy between Brewster and Weber. They make each other worse, rather than better. You would think that they realize it, but nooooooooooooooooooooooooo we get a viral lovefest between their supporters.

People still have faith in Weber? LOL...wait til' he faces a half decent team...like USC for instance...

Coming from the guy who didn't watch the game.

didn't have to watch the USD fiasco to realize this, just simply reflect on what has been said about each and look at their early "work" and their end of last season "work". Should have seen this going in to this season.
