I'm glad we're going to a bowl, and I really want us to win. But this game does nothing for me. It's too bad we can't play a higher profile team.

Oh well, let's get the win and hope we can get to a better bowl against a better opponent next year.
 

Can't say its a surprise. If you would have told me in August we would be in the Texas Bowl I'd be happy. We won't get the benefit of better bowls until we travel better.
 

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. A re-match with Texas Tech looks good by comparison. Hell of a reward for a great season. I'd be more excited for an NIT game in basketball.
 




On the bright side this is a great opportunity to get a bowl win for the first time in a while and get to 9 wins.
 

Wish we got a higher profile opponent but I guess at least we should get another win.
 

I wouldn't mind this as much if we hadn't played them last season. Would have much rather played Oregon State or Washington State.

The funny thing is they want us to prove we travel well - send us to a good place and we will. I think we proved that a year ago at UNLV
 



Would have loved to see team on Jan. 1, but here is a chance to destroy someone in the only game in this time slot. I hope Kill has them ready to play.
 

Penn State beat Syracuse 23-17 but of course it was in August.
 

It's less about playing in Houston (I was there last year) and more about who we are playing. I didn't think we could do worse than TT but I was wrong.
 

I hope we wipe the field clean with these clowns to prove to the nation that we got jobbed with this bowl game. Equally, I hope Georgia kills Nebraska and makes the Gator Bowl about as non-competitive as it can get.
 

is it official? i would much rather play Texas Tech, we better try to run up the score if we can, win by at least 3 TDs so it will be more satisfying and be ranked at the end of the season and at the beginning of next season
 


This thread should have been titled: "All Things Venom About Bowl Game."
 

this absolutely sucks hard. We got to take care of business. Unbelievable that Nebraska is likely going to rematch georgia in gator bowl. terrible
 

Couldn't have gotten a more lame matchup.
 


I'm going to chalk this up to Karma with Kill ducking North Carolina lol
 

I am hoping that this is an educated guess that is simply being re-tweeted.
 


The sad part is that we could have beaten Wisconsin or MSU and we would have been in the same game. Its a fact of life that we'll always get selected in the lowest possible game.
 



Can we turn down the bowl and keep the practices? We might as well go to Detroit for the pizza bowl.
