STrib: Ex-Gopher QB Chris Streveler leaving CFL as a 'legend' to pursue NFL dream

Your pain shows in your posts. Get well.

My only pain comes from reading your posts. You are obsessed with Mitch Leidner. In a very unhealthy way. Dude was a great teammate and representative of the U. Did the best with what he was given by the coaching staff.

Yet, here is some internet tough guy (you, just to be clear for you) who can barely string a coherent sentence together, taking jabs at him on a message board 4 years later. Really embarrassing.

Brevity is the soul of wit.

A brief mention from the Cardinals beat writer in The Athletic:

>>Is there a new Backup QB?

Among the day’s surprises: The Cardinals made Brett Hundley, who last season backed up Murray, inactive. This meant CFL product Chris Streveler was No. 2 against the 49ers. And he played.

Late in the third quarter, the Cardinals faced 3rd-and-1 from the Arizona 30. Streveler rushed in and lined up in the backfield. Before the snap, he shifted to quarterback, lining up under center. Murray shifted left and lined up as a receiver. Streveler barked out the cadence. Murray went in motion. Streveler took the snap and plowed ahead for 3 yards.

The Cardinals worked Streveler on special teams during training camp, so it wasn’t surprising to see him on the field. Just not in this role. Asked Monday if Streveler was the official No. 2, Kingsbury said yes — sort of. “We really like Chris,” he said. “… We wanted to get him involved. We’ll see where it goes.”<<

I figured one of the reasons KK put him in was just to get him that first snap, loosen up those nerves, etc. Let's see if his role increases in the coming weeks!
