Still a supportive fan - how many do we have left?

I am always in....I just keeping asking myself why these things happen at Minnesota? When are we gonna lift this sports curse over our heads? If Northwestern and Illinois can field a good team every so often...why can't Minnesota?

I'm in. I haven't even dared to look @ Gopherhole this week but am pleasantly surprised at a couple of the topics and positive talk. I gotta admit that I was crushed last Saturday but I'm getting my mojo back and am hoping we put an ass stomping on USC and Lane Kiffin!

I'm always in with the Gophers, 100%. That includes the personnel, both on the field and off. I don't necessarily support the choices made to put those particular people in their current positions, but I will support them as long as they are there.

I've been a Brewster supporter, 100%, from the beginning. I'm beginning to think that he was the wrong hire, but I still don't believe we have enough evidence. The fact that we have something like 6 contributors from Mason's last two classes (don't remember the numbers exactly), the guys that should be 4th- and 5th-year seniors leading this team, speaks volumes to me. Even if the Brewster hire was a mistake, it would be worse to compound the mistake by firing him before we have the full body of evidence.

OK, I'm in, but I reserve the right to turn of the TV at any time during the game (or fast forward thru the tivo.

I'm all in. I learned a long, long time ago that it isn't always easy being a Gopher football fan. As troubling as that game was, nothing will deter my passion for Gopher football.

I hope the man that sits in Section 138 row 6 is reading this! This guy did nothing but scream obsenities at the coaches and players. When I turned around to ask him to stop, he told me to shut up and sit down. It was a lucky thing that my husband was not with me (I took a friend), when she asked him why he bothers to come if that is all he does is scream insults, he called her a pig.

If anyone cares to come over and listen to him, be my guest!

Yes

Remember the place is going to be filled with potential recruits. Probably the biggest recruiting weekend this year.

Instead of "Boos"we should signs with these potential recruits names on them enticing them to be Gophers.

Go Gophers forever.

I will be there. Did anyone make the Boo-urns crack yet?

I will never understand booing. Do people think the team doesn't know they are playing bad? Like all of a sudden the players think "oh crap, they're booing us, we should try harder and play better." In general booing doesn't help your team but can help the other team. Probably a pretty good feeling to go into someone's stadium and hear their fans booing their team. Knowing that my team was the cause of it would pump me up even more.

Well said.

For those that say they are booing the coach, I don't think the players buy it or like it.

I'm totally in.

It just HAS (I need to believe this to keep my sanity) to happen once where the gophers are on the winning end of one of these things, why not this weekend?

(But at the risk of being slaughtered, I'm OK with halftime boo'ing... I don't think that's always bad. It's not singling anyone out, and a little kick in the rear from the audience isn't always a bad thing, IMHO. As long as the cheering is back on the way out the locker. Other times, non-approve)

Boise State? Why not us?!

I am always in....I just keeping asking myself why these things happen at Minnesota? When are we gonna lift this sports curse over our heads? If Northwestern and Illinois can field a good team every so often...why can't Minnesota?

As a season ticket holder, I'll be there this year and every year regardless of how we do--but I just can't figure out why we can't get it done in MN. Why can Boise State recruit good football players to come to Boise, ID, and we can't get them to Minneapolis, MN?

Gopher fan for life!

I'm a Gopher fan for life. I support them as best I can. However, l do reserve the right to be more than a little frustrated and/or upset when I see coaches, teams and administrations making the same mistake decade after decade.

This is our squad, and those kids are playing for us. Regardless of the performance, I love this team and will until I die. I want Brew to succeed and I love the mindset he's brought to the table, and until the administration says otherwise, he's our coach and deserves our support, for the sake of recruiting if anything. Turn the ship around for SC, fellas.

Hear Hear! I for one, will be screaming like a crazy person Saturday as I am just crazy enough to think the Gophers have a shot against this year's incarnation of the men of troy.

GO GOPHERS!

Nice job everyone - No booing in sec. 142

Here is to everyone who jumped on board ... nice job! Also a message to the guys who were non- stop booing in the middle of section 142 ... KNOCK IT OFF.

Loyalty still means something to me, and mine was pretty strained last Saturday, but still...

Yeah, count me in too.

I'm IN

Eventually we'll be there. But this is my alma mater, it may stink up the place on occasion, but it's still my alma mater!

I am a season ticket holder and my buddies and I will be there and we will be loud. However, we are in Sect 209, which is lame and dull. They don't like you to stand and cheer, oh well! Last week can't take away the tailgaiting, beer, great food, great friends, and USC cheerleaders that this weekend will bring. I have a good feeling about this game. I think it is going to be closer than most people think. I am not a big Brewster backer but as long as he is still the coach of my favorite football team I will cheer him and the boys on. GO GOPHERS!

Count me in as well. Don't get to the stadium much anymore. Never boo'd when I did (muttered "WTF?" a few times though).

Always supportive of the Gophers...their supporting cast though are often suspect...

I will be loud and cheering on the Gophs when I'm not flexing my man breasts to impress the Song Girls.

Love the team and will always support them. Would be sweet if there were some payoff for that before I die, though.

Well enough with the negativity! The past is past. It is not going to help the team when all you nimrods boo at every bad play that happens in the stadium. We most likely are in for a long season. Unless there is a big turn around this season we will definitely have another coaching change. Enough said about that.

Go to the stadium ... cheer your players ... don't boo. Even if you are booing is directed at the coach, the players don't know that. This isn't the pros. You can't make trades or sign a free agent. This is your team like it or not. Do your part to make it better. Stay to the end of the game and cheer on your team no matter what the score is.

Go to hell. Hope this helps.

Handsome Pete

I know that is meant for those negative fans ... right! ;)

Supportive fan

I've been one since at least 1948 and I always will be one. Like my marriage, with me me its for better or worse.

Why can Boise State recruit good football players to come to Boise, ID, and we can't get them to Minneapolis, MN?

Boise State would be just another team in the Big Ten - their record over the last decade would be vastly different if they played in a different conference.
