I was able to watch simultaneously. The TVs at my Golf Club, had both on (plus the Twins).A shame as the series has been incredible.
Gooo Wild!!
Bob apparently heard you given the first period tonightBobrovsky continues to be the most overhyped goaltender in the NHL.
He was bad and it all started in that first goal#99 ripped the Oilers netminder (in a friendly Great One kind of way) in the TNT Postgame.
He did look like a sieve.
Fuck Edmonton after that display. Bad look for the game too. They can pound sand
Florida really locked Drai and McDavid down last night. does not bode well for Edmonton if they're not scoring.I have to say, I'm happy with the outcome of this one, other than the fact that Draisaitl torpedoed on Shot on Goal parlay by not having a single f*ng shot on goal for the night. WTF....
advanced stats/analytics would say its been a pretty even series, with the Oilers actually with better advanced stats for games 1 and 2.Florida is the better team — better depth, much better goaltending, and better coaching. They took their foot off the gas pedal last year up 3-0 and once you lose momentum it’s hard to get it back. I don’t think they’ll let up this time. This series could easily be 3-0 right now if not for the puck over glass PP in overtime in Game 1.
As a MN fan (and for you as a VGK fan), will be an important offseason for both teams. Lots of dominoes to fall this year and for MN, this will be what decides if Guerin is remembered fondly or fired. At this point I kinda just want the series to be over as soon as possible so the offseason fireworks can begin. This could be a wild offseason, I'm already buckled in and ready to roll
Goaltending is the key. Oilers are hurting in that department. When Bob is on the Cats are damn near impossible to beatadvanced stats/analytics would say its been a pretty even series, with the Oilers actually with better advanced stats for games 1 and 2.
Game 1: xG 4.65-3.71 Oilers
Game 2: xG 5.37-4.16 Oilers
Both games favored oilers to win (when accounting for Corsi, etc.) of about 61% of time.
agreed 100%. Stu and Pickard are not guys who can steal games from you. Bob can, even if he has been up and down this year. Kind of reminds me of Vasilesky when he was on for the Bolts when they were winning. Could stand on his head when needed (sometimes for whole games) to keep you with the momentum, find your game, etc.Goaltending is the key. Oilers are hurting in that department. As long as he doesn’t come back for a round 1 matchup with the Wild after missing all year and being skating for weeks ahead of the seriesI'm expecting some folks, as most years with VGK haters, to lose their collective minds in the next month or two, depending on what happens.
With plenty of smoke already about the VGK pursuing Mitch Marner from Toronto, there are some rumblings that veteran D-man Alex Pietrangelo (35 yrs old) could miss much or all of the 25-26 season with injury/surgery, which would free up a whopping $8.8M in cap space. I've heard it's POSSIBLE it could even be career threatening, something like Stenosis or other long-term injury.
Petro has this year and next year on that contract at $8.8M/yr; he's a very family oriented guy that has made plenty of money in his career. If the injury is remotely bad enough, I could totally see him saying it's not worth it. VGK opens up massive cap space this year and next. Lots of speculation, but nothing would surprise me with this Front Office and organization.
I can already hear the screaming about LTIR manipulation....
