Spring Game Set for April 25 at St. Thomas

The University of Minnesota football team will play its 2009 Spring Game at O’Shaughnessy Stadium on the campus of the University of St. Thomas. The game will be held April 25 at 1:30 p.m. and admission is free.

The Spring Game will conclude the Gophers’ 2009 spring practices, which are set to commence March 24. The NCAA allows 15 practices, including the spring game.

Outdoors and free, a great combination! How many people went to last year's spring game? I know the year before estimates were in the 10,000-15,000 range. I guess get there early this year since the stadium holds 5,000

Last year it was about half full in the lower deck.

Does anyone know if they will do anything after the game with the players and coaches to interact with the fans? Thinking about taking the kids to their first Gopher event and they would love to see the players up close if possible.
