SOMEBODY NEEDS TO SAY IT.....

I think in a game like tonight ralph could have easily had 14 to 20 points since mtsu has no real size but there's no denying EE played with great energy and intensity. Kid has a good future!

So true! The whole squad did a great job exploiting matchups, considering how hard MTSU played, but EE was really great in the middle. He was fun to watch! That timely steal where he reached down low to intercept the pass, and the huge block down low shortly thereafter, these were huge for establishing the point cushion at a critical time in the game.

Count me in on the excitement of post-season wins! Es macht viel spass!!!

Go Gophers!

Funny how it took the NIT for some go you negative Gopherholers to stop calling for Tubby's head and realize how young this team really is.

Jesus, will you quit it with this? Most people who weren't trolling were not ripping the team, they were ripping on tubby for his in-game coaching.

There's a reason they call Parski the Polish Prophet, before the season began he saw great NIT success in the Gophers' future...pay no mind to what a 6 seed in the NIT says about the regular season.
It's been fun to see this team coach and play better, hoping for a Tourny run next year!

Tubby still holds blame. What are the main reasons for the turnaround? I'd say its Dre's emergence, Rodney's aggressiveness and EE replacing Sampson.

While Dre had some injury issues early in the year Tubby was insisting on playing Mav way more minutes than he should've including having the ball in Mav's hands at the end of two straight heartbreaking losses that killed us. That's on Tubby as Mav is probably our least talented scholarship player.

Sampson has been maddening for 3 years and Tubby didn't increase EE's minutes until injuries forced him too even though RSIII was killing us with his laziness with the ball and lack of aggression on D. I put that on Tubby's shoulders as well.

Also we've finally severly limited the minutes of guys that aren't ready. Mav, Chip and Oto have played true spot minutes as they should (although I think Oto will be a nice player with another year of experience and a shot of confidence). These things are defintely on Tubby and while we may not have made the tourney anyway we may have been able to speed the developmental process up by giving minutes to the right guys early on

Agreed. I also say Tubby cutting the line changes and Tubby eliminating doubling the post every time have had huge impacts.

This is what somebody needed to say. The Gophers are so much less predictable on defense right now. Besides mixing zone and man, they're mixing straight man-to-man with ball line. In at least one possession last night, they switched from zone to man during a possession. All this has put their opponents off balance a lot of the time. Besides asking what's gotten into certain players, what's gotten into the coaches?

Opponents size has nothing to do with Ralph's scoring when he never wanders inside the arc.
