— The Gophers win over the Badgers means that Wisconsin's streak of 22 consecutive seasons with a winning record has ended. That streak was the longest active streak among Power 4 teams. Oklahoma's streak stands at 18 seasons and Alabama at 17. How sweet it is for Gopher fans that our team ended that streak!

— The loss to Minnesota means the Badgers and their fans will now have to wait, fingers crossed, to find out if they made even a low-level bowl. If any Sconnies gave you crap last season about the Gophers bowl game being tainted and/or a joke, prepare to take your sweet revenge!

— The Badgers’ 22-season bowl appearance streak was the third-longest active streak for bowl berths among FBS teams. Thanks to the Gophers, that might be ended now. Badger fans are crying in their beer and wondering just what went wrong.

— The Gopher win evened the teams' all time record vs. each other, now 63-63-8.

— After 8 seasons at Minnesota, P.J. Fleck has gone 4-4 vs. Wisconsin. Fleck has compiled wins over three different Badger coaches: Paul Chryst, Jim Leonard and Luke Fickell. Row the Boat indeed!

— When Fleck arrived at Minnesota, every Gopher fan lived in dread of The Streak. Today's victory, and Fleck's four wins in the series, puts the memory of that horrendous, seemingly never-ending Gopher losing skid to the Badger to rest — forever. Minnesota is no longer Wisconsin's patsy.

— This huge win by Minnesota means a more prestigious bowl game for the Gophers.

— Today's dominating, wire-to-wire victory took place on national TV, and our team was simply brilliant on the big stage.

Row the Boat, Ski U Mah, Go Gophers!

Yeah, and it’s a lot harder for us to cope because we can’t just crawl into bed with our cousins for comfort like Badger fans can.

I love that you know your present and future are garbage so you're focusing on the glory days that have been irrelevant for seven years already. The roles have reversed! Enjoy mediocrity.

Who won the 2023 game, I forget. Also, that “magical” season in 2019 - all you needed to do to head to Lucas was beat the Badgers. Asses kicked 38-17 at Huntington. That must have sucked. Oh btw, I’ve been to all 6 of the B1G championship appearances at Lucas - it’s a blast win or lose. Yeah, Wisconsin is down for now. We’ll see how well you guys do without Brosmer. Maybe you’ll get a QB as good as Locke. 😂😂

There was nothing more satisfying than watching badger collapses in the conference title game or in big bowls all of those years. To always be so close... And then choke. The ultimate blue balling. You were such a solid, put together team and you could never get over the top because you were never good enough. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. We've been to the mountaintop, you haven't and you never will. And now you're losing regularly to PJ Fleck of all people! A person who most of your fanbase claims is a phony! That same phony has made your program look pretty silly, fella.

On 2019, it was the best ride in many of our lifetimes and you'll never get that feeling because you have no idea what it feels like to watch your team claw from the gutter for years to finally reach the upper crust. Most of us don't hold onto the Iowa and Wisconsin losses because of the Auburn finish, which was a far more significant game because it was the last game and it put an exclamation point on a season where we showed we could also take on a traditional SEC power and win when no one gave us a chance. You get to go home and likely not go bowling thanks in part to us😘

What helped me cope is knowing that the only time I needed to be in Wisconsin was when I was traveling to Chicago.

I usually just stop to pee.

I was wondering while watching if there were Badger fans chucking beer cans at Gopher fans like they did in 2016 when I attended the border battle? Some Wisconsin sports fan devolved into drunken babies sometime after 1993. I remember being in Mad town for New Years Eve (93), closing down Club De Wash, and then going to super friendly pot luck bar to watch the Rose Bowl. I miss those Wisconsin fans.

Wisky fans r the trash of the Big . Super drunk, rude, obnoxious and delusional as they think they matter on the national scene. Too bad there was no snow today so they could throw snowballs @ their own cheerleaders.

Also first time in 40 years back to back in Madison.

My suggestion for coping is to become friends with Jim Leonhard. Take him out for dinner and drinks. You'll think your mood is euphoric after listening to him tell you how he got screwed over
as the heir apparent. "It was all in place, we coulda been in the hunt for National Titles every year!"

Maybe you'll stumble upon a real coach one day, and figure out your identity as a program.

Hey, here's a thought: Barry Alvarez is still alive, yes? Ahhhhh, take me back to the good old days...

Glory days
Well, they'll pass you by,
Glory days
In the wink of a young girl's eye, glory days
Glory days

Coping is different west of the St. Croix.

But for you, coping is simple:

"Ah, well... back to the tavern."
