Sid: There is no doubt that Weber can make Leidner a better quarterback.

Looking at the Twitter-Pic (and I know this is akin to "hand-timed), Weber looks at least 2-inches taller than Leidner. Leidner is listed at 6-4 and Weber was listed at 6-3 when he played. Now I know it's not a big deal, but did Weber grow or are the heights listed not "official"?

UPDATE.....Woops: I guess that picture was with Ryan Mallett who is a legit 6-6. That makes sense.

What Weber/Leidner pic are you referring to?

Is that Larry Fitzgerald's camp?

I was never a huge Weber booster, but you have to admit, Brewster didn't do him any favors by changing offensive schemes every year.

I suppose he would be no different then Nelson running the football, far from ideal though.

Ben, don't you dare challenge the expertise of our GH'ers who claim that Weber was a horseschidt QB.

You know Dr., there is a lot of gray area between hs and great. The bobos on GH are just as guilty of forcing the extreme opinion on the haters as vice versa. Saying he was average or below average is not the same as saying he was a horseschidt QB. However, that doesn't make your digs seem nearly as justified so carry on...

And based on our relatively low threshold for talent in the past it's possible that he was simultaneously a good gopher quarterback and an average big 10 quarterback. It's not impossible that some fans could have pined for the Adam Weber days at quarterback while watching the last few stiffs. While others just want to see a day when we don't hold someone mediocre up as the best we've had in a while.

Well said.
