We can do without the extremely overused "culture" word now. We got it, coach loves the term for lack of a different one and many of the rubes worship it bit its time to move off of it. Every single coach, leader, manager uses this term to explain success.

I love Petty PJ!

Merriam Webster:

Culture
-the set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution or organizationa corporate culture focused on the bottom line;

-the set of values, conventions , or social practices associated with a particular field, activity, or societal characteristic.”

What word is PJ supposed to use that will make us all happy?

“Culture” is the only truly correct term for what he believes in an what he does. Time to use big boy words.

Souhan would like the program to be "Free Falling" but it seems more like it is "Learning to Fly"
And PJ's response is "I Won't Back Down."

As an aside, I saw Petty and the Heartbreakers 4 times from the late-1970s to the mid-1980s. Always a phenomenal show. Tom Petty is sorely missed on the music scene.

The thing about Fleck is that he said from the get-go that his flavor wasn't for everybody. But somehow, five years later some scribes still complain about it.

I'm guessing you are not referring to the Tom Petty / Pearl Jam show I saw in 2006 at the Excel. It was a blast, loved it.

RIP, Petty.
Be honest, do you really remember much from it? ;)

Just finished rewatching the Nebby game on BTN.

I think it's nearly impossible to overestimate just how bad the Huskers are. Martinez might pile up stats in games, but when it's crunch time... he's absolutely brutal.
Frost wants to “out physical” the Gophers. He thinks that is the magic elixir. But what the Gophers have, across the board, is mental toughness. You add that to the physical prowess and you win a lot of games. Martinez is an amazing athlete, but when the situation demands it he doesn’t seem to be mentally tough. A guy like Nebraska CB Cam Taylor-Britt is mentally tough; so are a couple of their linebackers … but they don’t have enough guys like that.
