— Among the approximately 4,320 players who have been in the College Football Playoff, only seven have been from Minnesota. This year, two — Ben Reppenhagen from St. Thomas Academy and Namdi Obiazor from Eden Prairie — are with TCU (12-1), which plays Michigan (13-0) on Saturday in the Fiesta Bowl for a berth in the national championship game.

Go Gophers!!

Not surprising with how terrible Minnesota high school football is.

0.16%. Seems like something worth mentioning with 2 there this year.

Imagine if you replaced "College Football Playoff" with "college football playoffs"

That may have more Minnesotans lifting the FCS trophy than any other state over the last 10-15 years.

Adding NDSU, SDSU, WI-Whitewater, UMD - there's at least a chance that if someone got out the spreadsheets that Minnesotans have won the most college football playoff titles across all divisions in that period.

Not sure I agree with the math here.

The CFP started in 2014, so this year is the 9th year of the CFP.

That means that there have been 4 teams, times 9 annual opportunities, or 36 “teams”.

4,320 divided by 36 is 120.

So, according to shooter, there have been 120 unique players who appeared on each team, each and every year.
