Love it! One of my favorite Minnesota RBs over the last decade, praying to all the deities he can stay healthy!

Hopefully they don't need to play him this week and he gets eased back in to be our secret weapon against Nebraska.

Great news! Should be a boost to the team’s mood and optimism as well! Go Gophers!

He needs reps to get back to playing at an elite level consistently.

Do we feel the running game will be better because of this?

I didn't feel like we were short on good runners the first 3 games, and we still haven't been able to run, mostly because of the OL IMO...

Anyone want to guess how many carries he will get? I'm going to guess as many as 7 but no more than that.

I think it depends on how the game goes.

If it is close ... hard to say what they want to do with him. If they want him to get carries in then they're gonna want to get those done fast because we've had to abandon the run late game lately as it isn't getting us much.

Don't want to be all "well we can't run today but he has to get his carries in...".

Agreed, although we were short in the 3rd game.

Excited to watch him play and get a few carries.

Brooks is a type of runner who might be able to get bigger yards even when there isn't a hole.

Thank you for posting those videos! I was lucky enough to be at that game. I love how he just plowed the defenders. Awesome! Here's hoping he's back to form and can stay healthy. He's a beast!

To be fair against GSU we were without Rodney, Mo, Shannon and Cam...

And having another talented runner, who runs different, won't hurt, regardless of what the issues are

we were definitely short on good runners against GSU.

Shannon is the best if healthy and doesn't fumble.

Hard to imagine anyone really wants to see Shannon take a betting out of the gate anyway. We're ok with a light workout PJ.

I thought they gave it to him too much in his return last year (not saying that is why he got hurt). My guess is that was never the intent, but he was So. Damn. Good. in that game.
