I'll ask again, what would you have done differently? Who on the roster would you have played instead of Leidner? You love to take your shots at Mitch every chance you get but all you do is throw out insults with no other substance of any kind.

As for accepting the inconsistency of Leidner, yeah it is frustrating we aren't getting more from the position but as I have said before that isn't Leidner's fault. He is what he is, any and all blame for the state of the QB position should be directed at the coaching staff that is in charge of recruiting/developing the players.

Leidner is clearly the best option on the roster. He isn't good enough for you but if no one can beat him out then the only option is for him to play.

You are probably right, there isn't a lot more upside in Mitch's game beyond what he has shown to this point. That said, if the line protects and the WR's catch the ball, the team can have a very nice season with Leidner under center next year. I am not convinced that we can say that about any of the other options on the roster as it relates to next year.

Hopefully the new OC and QB coach will have better luck recruiting/developing the QB position going forward. Green is their first chance to get it right, hopefully he pans out and becomes the leader we all hope he does. But I think it would be silly to expect him to get to that point this season.
