I'm guessing it is a reading comprehension issue. Shama looks and sees Gabe listed at 0.083 3P%...and assumes that turns into 0.83%. Which is unforgivable for him to not think "hold on, that means if he made one 3 pointer he has missed over 100 on the season."

I've always figured there's a good chance he leaves no matter what (even if he isn't expected to be drafted). This is his fourth year, he's made it clear he wants to play professionally, and he can be making a lot of money somewhere.

There is no chance Carr is a 1st round NBA draft pick. And that is perfectly fine. The validation of his accomplishments don't need to be tied to his NBA prospects.

Sort of unrelated but it's something that has annoyed me over the last few years (probably was happening before that but I'm older and more negative/aware now)...Too many media folk these days get way too hung up on what players will eventually be rather than enjoying the college versions of them. And the coverage gets hurt because in many cases, the best prospects on a college team are not the best current players.

Yeah, 8.3% starts to get down into "random person picked out of the stands and thrown into the game" territory. Like when NBA players such as Lonzo Ball shoot 40% from the free throw line, and a great number of junior high players can easily do better.

I think Carr's gone after this season. He declared after last season, and came back. I think he'd probably go pro in Europe, if he doesn't get drafted by the NBA after this season. He wants to get paid.

We'll have Mashburn and ______ to shoulder the load next year.

I agree, I hate it when the national media talks about college basketball, and to a lesser extent, FB, only through the lense of the draft with the idea that college bball has no intrinsic value and is only worth watching to see future NBA prospects.
