If I ran the zoo, (and I'm talking about the Gopher marketing dept.), I would wait until Ben signed a very exciting prospect, and then a day later, send the ticket renewal forms. Catch whatever momentum is possible, instead of right in the middle of the chaos we are witnessing. Got my invitation to renew this morning. My two cents.

Yep- got it too. My first thought was- I'm sitting on this for a while.

I'm surprised that Garcia didn't enter the portal.

The Gopher marketing department is probably trying to capitalize on that momentum.

I got my email back in February and my tickets were renewed before March back when I thought the team was gonna stay together

They called me today. I didnt answer...but impressed they actually did call. Its been years since they took the time to reach out. After many years as a STHer I quit renewing. Never heard from them.

the powers-that-be in the Athletic Department are way too stubborn to do this - but they should just admit defeat and announce a price cut for next year. drop all season ticket prices across the board or give people a break on the "seat donation" fees.

get people back in the building first and worry about the future later.

Or they could put a product on the floor people want to see.

Just a thought.

This is a year we might see lots of begging for people to renew. Beg, grovel, and plead, and while we’ve got your ear, “Hey, can you reach even deeper so we don’t have to pay these darn kids?”

I haven't gotten an email yet about my season tickets. Maybe they knew I was leery of the whole college basketball landscape and the Gophers place in it.

Renewed ours yesterday. Have had season tickets since Musselman was coach, going to games since Lou Hudson played (my dad brought me). We’re going to ride this out. See what happens. The game is more fun live. Plus, I actually think the team might be better than last year.

Nice thought. But when has that ever happened?

Haskins defied them...and look what they did to him. They finally had enough of him.
Haskins cheated — I guess you could call that defiance. I’d call it costing the program a wound they’ve struggled to recover from.

The athletic director and school administration hired all the coaches and self-punished the basketball program after the cheating scandal. The program had 26 years to turn around the program since Clem was fired and during that period hired 4 coaches and so far, fired 3 (soon to be 4). This is NOT Clem's fault.

Like I've been saying...all of us super-fans were happy when we fired Haskins and dismantled our Final Four team. We're always in-favor of sabotaging our team.

We love to turn on our best coaches & players. At the drop of a dime. Even Kirby Puckett, Randy Moss...we all wanted them gone & cancelled.

But we whine incessantly about all losses.

WTF are you talking about? Are you saying cheating is okay as long as you win? I was a season ticket holder at the time this happened (were you?). You think it wasn’t devastating to the fan base? Of course it was. Most of us, me included, loved Clem. Please cite one time in all of my posts that I “whined” about losses. Find something constructive and accurate to post about.

You are choosing to misconstrue what I said. Of course I am not suggesting that Clem’s scandal is the reason for all ills that have followed. I’m not ignorant. I simply said it caused a deep wound that was difficult to recover from.

Yup...we super-fans are always first in line with the pitchforks.

We proclaim that Haskins is the worst cheater in all of college basketball. Mbakwe, Lynch, & Puckett all committed rapes & other atrocities. White is a thief & degenerate. Moss assaulted police & referees.

Maybe you don't whine about losses. But most do. And yet they always support everything that wrecks our teams.

I still have no idea wtf you are talking about. Are you implying some sort of conspiracy theory? Are you supporting Royce White’s run for U. S. Senate? Suggesting that he is improperly accused of misappropriating campaign funds? Do you listen to his podcasts?

Did I say Haskins was the worst cheater in college bball? Of course he wasn’t. Only the worst we’ve had. You seem to be a master of exaggeration. Wouldn’t be surprised if you supported his wild politics and conspiracy theories.

Agreed. However, the deeper-still not healed wound was caused by the athletic directors and administration that hired the subsequent coaches.
