Seantrel Dropping the U?

SH and his family are sitting on a winning lottery ticket. The kid is incredible. Gjere and Olsen are talented young kids, but they don't hold a candle to Henderson. He really is one of those unique talents that doesn't come around very often. Henderson and his parents have been nothing but diligent and respectful of the U (and the other schools) during this entire process. I can't blame a kid who wants to get away from home to go to college, or a kid that decides the best way to cultivate his talent is to attend USC, Florida, or Ohio St. This is a decision where Henderson needs to be selfish and do what is best for him and his family. As long as he doesn't make an entire circus out of the situation, I say good luck to him.

PS...As of last saturday, I do know for a fact that the Gophers are not "OUT" of the running for SH. So unless something has changed this week, the U is still there. He really likes Tubby and wants to play basketball too.

Do you know Seantrel personally? Is Minnesota the only place that has said he can play hoops as well as football?

i heard SH was going to challenge the 3 year out of high school rule and end up as a top 5 pick in this years NFL draft.

This is all really pointless. With the case of a hometown kid, until the day he signs the paper there will always be a chance that he decides to stay home....or that he changes his mind and goes elsewhere. The constant speculation does no good.

No, I don't really know the kid. I am a Cretin grad, and I am still relatively close to the program. I am not really sure if Minnesota is the only place where he could play basketball, but I know Seantrel specifically mentioned how he'd like to play basketball for Tubby. I know this, we have a better shot at Seantrel than we ever had at Michael Floyd. From most of the things I heard, Floyd was merely being gracious and showing respect for a new coach who had shown some respect for MN HS football and Cretin. Up until Brewster got to MN, the CDH football program was not big on the U. Yeah, they landed Melander, Tavale, McElroy, but that was despite the school's relationship with the U. That is not the case anymore.

He's still going to begin playing with the same class so technically, he is correct, unless of course you want to argue over something so pitiful which you are trying to do.
what if Gjere redshirts? Technically, no you and he are still wrong. And, you may want to look in the mirror since you are arguing with me over the same thing you said was not worth arguing about.

I think there is a good chance that Gjere redshirts. It is not worth losing his year of eligibility if he is not getting starter level minutes. To play he would have to beat out a bunch of seniors and some talented young kids.

I realy can't see any freshman outside of humungo Jesus not redshirting as OLinemen for a while. Those days are hopefully over.
