I hope this isn't true.....
HURT A LOT!!! fixed itRossi leaving would hurt a lot, especially with Harasymiak no longer on the staff.
Yeah, he’s set to make $800k next year. There are a good number of schools that could offer a 50% raise if they wanted to. One thing I think we have working in our favor is how quietly the defense excelled this year. They were not flashy with a ton of turnovers or big stars, and I’m sure the average fans of those programs would be very surprised to see that Minnesota had an elite defense last year. Another thing in our favor is how bad the defense was last year. Some head coaches might be uneasy about paying a DC $1 million+ based on one good season.Didn't he just get an extension?
Please say it is just rumors. Plus - Okla.State would be a lateral move at best. Perhaps they can pay a sxxx pot more money as T.Boone Perkins left millions to Okla. State football. There was this yesterday:
And then an article on Pokes Report saying they were not buying that, and guessed at a few others, which included Rossi: https://pokesreport.com/s/2199/repo...a-state-defensive-coordinator-were-not-buying
We believe that North Carolina State defensive coordinator Tony Gibson, Minnesota defensive coordinator Joe Rossi, UAB defensive coordinator David Reeves, and Houston defensive coordinator Doug Belk are potential candidates.
I don't see why Rossi would leave Minnesota. The Big 12 might not even exist like it is in a few years. I think coaches are also seeing that Minnesota is not the recruiting black hole that it used to be, especially with the athletes we've been able to recruit over the last several years
That’s a lateral move. Going to a helmet school Maybe, Smellwater Okie = no wayI don't see why Rossi would leave Minnesota. The Big 12 might not even exist like it is in a few years. 2019 defense was pretty solid too, as was second half that he took over in 2018.Yeah, he’s set to make $800k next year. What he did after he took over basically prevented that season from being an absolute disaster.2019 defense was pretty solid too, as was second half that he took over in 2018.
My guess is it's like post #5. Anyone can throw anything out in an article, to get people to click on it. And the article wasn't specifically about Rossi, at all. Please say it is just rumors. Where was this report? Link?I hope this isn't true.....
If there are no sources, it's not a "report." Saying "we believe" is a whole lot different than "a source close to the situation" is telling us this. Unsourced information is basically 99 percent of the internets.I hope this isn't true.....
Also to me potential candidate sounds like anyone you can imagine, where as a candidate is actually being interviewed or at least spoken to about the position. If there are no sources, it's not a "report." It’s not even that sourced. It’s “we hope but it’s not even ‘likely’”. Sleep well.If there are no sources, it's not a "report." Saying "we believe" is a whole lot different than "a source close to the situation" is telling us this. Unsourced information is basically 99 percent of the internets.
Academically/research wise, it's the same thing as NDSU and SDSU. Just a larger student body because it's a more populous state (and also probably pull a fair number of kids from KC and Dallas). And then they have oilmen donors, so a lot more money.Oklahoma State would be a step down. It is basically a community college.
