I think it’s much more so that he really wants to play QB.For the best if the kid is consistently unsure. I'm not blaming the kid, just saying it's better for the program to have kids fully buy-in. Especially because that's what PJ and the culture is all about.

Athan won't be switching to WRCould be setting up some epic battles versus Athan in the years to come.

Hey, he talked to Jesus about it. And Jesus apparently wants him to play QB.
Again, we're talking about kids here. And nobody knows who is whispering in his ear.
I suppose my more grounded question would be:
If he is a 4* prospect as a QB, is he still a 4* prospect if he is moved to another position? In other words, is the rating position-specific, or is a 4* a 4* no matter what position you put him at?
The depth we have at QB didn't really bode well for him getting on the field anytime soon, if at all.
He was never going to play QB here. He was recruited to the Gophers to play some other position. Purdue told him they'd give him a shot at QB. My prediction is he will end up being a really good WR for the Boilers in a few years. You have to hand it to Brohm in securing the kid by telling him he will play QB, when almost assuredly he won't.
Not if he doesn't buy in to the position change. I could see him transferring and chasing this dream of playing QB which he seems dead set on.
