Ross Travis to Penn State

Of course not. But the only similarity between Travis and Turner is their 6-7 height.

Neither Spud Webb nor Manute Bol were ranked by anybody.

Damn, you're dumb.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Whatever you've seen of Travis is minimal or not at all. But you don't have the ability to say you're in over your head so you're just going to keep hammering away with your idiocy.

The more you do it, the more people see you for the idiot you are.

The other thing about Turner is, he was roughly #50 in his HS class, but it was an exceptionally strong class. The '07 class had Derrick Rose, OJ Mayo, Michael Beasley, Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, James Harden, etc. and there were multiple players who weren't rated in the top-10 in that class who were one & dones who were taken in the first round of the '08 draft (such as Kosta Koufos and JJ Hickson), and not only that, but there was great depth of talent in the class as well. I don't think the '11 class is nearly as strong as a whole, so if you're an NBA talent, there's no reason not to be in the top-50 nationally in the '11 class.

There are some 3* guys who turn out a lot better than the recruiting rankings indicated, although 99% of 3* recruits don't make the NBA. There are some guys who have serious injuries and STILL are ranked - Jordan Sibert, for example, missed virtually the entire AAU season the summer before his SR season after breaking his leg, yet was ranked in the top-100. If Travis was the real deal, at least one really good program like Purdue would have offered him.

the other thing ppl need to get away from is calling purdue a good program, after this year they are empty. i expect them to finish 6th or 7th next year. to keep the great program title you gotta recruit like it

I think that the Gopher coaches were worried about Travis staying healthy. He missed eleven games last season and played just four contests as a sophomore. He has been sidelined recently with a stress fracture in his foot. Time will tell, if the Gophers made the right call, but the word is that Travis would have liked to sign with the local team.

Let me take a crack at my FOT impression:

Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height. Their only similarity is their height.

I don't see similar skills at all. I see similar height.

I am curious why you keep pressing this? Have you ever seen Travis play live?

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but there are people on this board who have seen Ross play multiple games in a variety of environments (e.g. HS, AAU, summer hoops), several of whom have posted in this thread. Those opinions, which would appear to be more valid than yours on this topic, are that Evan Turner's game is a reasonable comparison for Travis'. No one has said that Travis is as good of a prospect as Turner, simply that the things they can do on the court are similar.

Good God, let it go. There are times where your constant posting suffocates this board.

Throw in a few random Tubby stats, a numb nuts or two, and your resume along with your salary and people might start confusing you for FOT.

Their rankings are completely irrelevant. They're only talking about style of play. Good thing you never had your heart set on Law School. No offense.

Ross Travis is a good prospect, indeed. I don't see the ET comparison. Turner was a Top 25-50 rated prospect going into his senior HS year.
