The cheer is the ultimate disrespect of whomever we're playing at the time. It says, even though we're playing you, all we can think about right now is hating Iowa. In other words, we're ignoring you.

I'd love to see back-to-back wins by the Gophs because my extended family is full of Iowa homers (FULL DISCLOSURE: Had a cousin in early 2000s play for Iowa Football on scholarship. It drove me nuts, made everyone support Iowa, except my immediate family. And no, he wasn't anything special to their program.)
