There is no doubt that he can coach. Does he fit PJ's system? It will be nice to bring alumni in to be part of the Gopher coaching family.

I like him. His Twitter feed is always entertaining. But, the reasons the coaching staff might be reluctant to hire him are pretty obvious. He’s a much less tactful version of PJ Fleck. I doubt he’s capable of reigning it in.

I think he’d be an amazing recruiter, especially in Florida.

I think he'd be a train wreck waiting to happen. Remember he posted the name of the sexual assault accuser. Then when off on Fleck about his nephew: Carter trashes Fleck. I think I have just as good of a chance of being hired at MN as he does.

I tend to agree with this. I love TC the player, not sure he is exactly the coach PJ has in mind.
 

I'm inclined to agree about TC.

He has shown VERY poor judgment in the past. Can't have that risk.
 



Has TC graduated from a college? If I remember correctly, not having his degree prevented him from being considered for past Minnesota coaching jobs.

Similar in that they are both little guys who overachieved. Similar in that they like slogans and sayings. Similar in that they have more drive than 99.9% of the population (maybe a slight exaggeration, but you know what I mean). Fleck just knows to harness it more effectively.

Are there differences? Of course. Those differences are what would likely prevent TC from getting a job on that staff.

I'm going to have to disagree with the drive part - at least, channeling the drive in an appropriate way. Carter has been retired from the NFL since 2010. If his goal is to be a coach, and he's driven to make it happen, he's had a full decade to build up a resume that would be worthy of a Big Ten coaching job. Instead, the closest thing he seems to have done is to train/mentor some players here and there and expect someone to hand him a job because of his name and NFL background.
 

I love TC. I'd take him on our staff in a heartbeat. True Gopher. Champion.

I’m really sad to hear this. I thought you liked me. You must understand my confusion tho. I mean you have spent countess hours over the past 6-months thinking and obsessing about me. I see Nebraska hired another analyst. This one for their special teams. (From Alabama or Auburn). I think that is number 7. Any one know how much analyst get paid?
