Recruit information/questions

If King is a Big Ten talent, why isn't he being courted by other Big Ten schools, and why is he going to Drake? How is Tubby being disrespectful?

In fact, not only wasn't King offered by any Big Ten school, he was even tendered an offer from other "top" mid-majors in the area. Not an offer from UNI, NDSU, SDSU, or even Colorado State who has come into MN and scavanged recruits.

And, King isn't 6-9. He is 6-7 with a shorter wingspan than most guys who are 6-7.

Now, that said, he could turn into a great player. He definitely can move, shoot, and jump well.

I feel dumb. That flew right over my head.

Haha, no worries. I did do that on purpose, but I'm seriously wondering what the story is on him. I've been wondering if we're just listed because he has an offer from us or if he has serious interest in us. Kid looks solid.

He has a long way to go. If Tyus were to come here(a big if) it would be three years from now. We should be able to squeeze in another pg.

We haven't seen much of Andre since the injury so it is hard to tell if he will make it as a pg.

A natural pg would be a nice change of pace.

Agreed, but it would be tough to get a highly thought of 4 year guy to commit when he would have the potential of Tyus hanging over his head two year after he gets here (just when he the other guy is coming into his own). So the only other option would be a Juco - which I doubt Tubby will do at this point. Point guard has been a tough deal for Tubby here.

PG- Wouldn't mind Duane Wilson in the 2013 class.

Re: Goodluck... his teammate is a certified stud, incredible shot blocker Nerlens Noel, but Okonoboh is another promising 2013.. Boston kid, seems likely he'll stay on the East Coast,, but will be looking for immediate playing time early on, & the need looks to exist for MN in 2013..

Also for 2013, if we are still looking for a big, what about the new kid from Duluth East? According to a few tweets from people on rivals he was pretty damn impressive. He is athletic, blocks a ton of shoots and for a guy his size is pretty coordinated.

Is MU or UW recruiting Wilson?

Is MU or UW recruiting Wilson?

from WISSPORTS today--
No. 2 Duane Wilson, 6-3, PG, Whitefish Bay Dominican (Uncommitted) – Wilson moves up to No. 2 thanks to his work ethic and improved athleticism and perimeter shooting skill. He is averaging 19.9 ppg, 6.1 apg, 5.3 rpg and 3.4 spg while shooting 48 percent from the floor, 44 percent from three-point range and 68 percent from the foul line. His soaring dunks and clutch three-point shots are a big reason Dominican is 10-1 and ranked No. 1 among Division 4 schools in the WisSports.net Coaches Poll. The 3Ms of Marquette, Memphis and Missouri are recruiting Wilson the hardest at this point, but many more schools figure to come calling.
