Ralph is not a bad player at all....

Did some research -

11 players from major programs fit the at least 14 and 8.

I would consider two of Sullinger and Williams from Arizona to be POY cantidates.

I thought there would be more...I was wrong. There are a ton from smaller schools.

How many players averaging 14 and 8 in major conferences are not top 15 or so POY candidates?
And I never said he would be this year, I said he would be next year. 14-8 in the big ten and coming back, you definitly would get yourself on watch lists no questions asked. 15-9 and you'd be a favorite.

Dont have the list in front of me - I wrote it down in the office today - I'll look on Monday. None of the names jumped out at me except for Arizona and OSU guys...not to say more are possibly deserving...I guess it also comes down to what you consider to be a POY cantidate...your post stated he would be "on track to be the favorite for national POY", correct?

I thought there was a guy from Va Tech and Washington that are not POY cantidates, IMO, but I get the point if they come back next year they could be in the discussion.

I didn't say "the," I said "a" POY candidate. Which he would be next year if he was posting those numbers this year.

Trevor is posting numbers like those right now (~14 and 10). Is he a POY candidate for next year?

You realize that if he was 15 and 9 he'd be on track to be the favorite for national player of the year next season (assuming he came back)? You realize it's difficult to have the big tens 2 leading rebounders on the same team (which Sampson would be 2 or 3 if he was between 9 and 10)?

No wonder you are disappointed, you are expecting an all American HM at worst with that stat line. Sullenger is 17 and 9.9 and is top 3 for national POY and you are disappointed that Sampson isn't 15 and 10? Are you serious? You are expecting sampson to be 2 points better than Mbakwe currently is while matching his rebounding?

Get used to disappointment.

Ok I misunderstood. I thought this quote was saying he would be the favorite, not a cantidate...

Regardless he wont be, so I'll stop arguing the point...

Honestly today feel bad for Ralph! "HE IS ALREADY A GOOD LOW POST PLAYER"(see above)

Today he was guarded by and outrebounded by "Ollie" from Hoosiers. His low post moves were weak, he couldnt hold his post position against Novak and got the ball ripped!

The BEST was at the end Michigan is shooting Ft's- Ralph has no one to box out Trevor goes up to grab the ball battling a Michigan player and the ball goes over Ralph who never moved. Trever let RSIII and his HI bball IQ have it. Trevor was all over him.

I can't stand to watch this guy anymore. The guy has some basketball skill but he plays with no effort and is the biggest puss I've ever seen. He would get knocked around if he played for the Gopher Women...it's absolutely pathetic.

Bad game today in which Ralph was still the teams 4th best player playing terribly. Was frustrating to watch him get lost at times on defense. But he is what he is (the teams 3rd best player when Nolen is out).
