Go Gophers!!
He also worked with Brosmer. If anyone here is unfamiliar with Quincy Avery:
While Avery is known in sports circles as the "Quarterback Whisperer," his impact extends far beyond that. He's trained the likes of Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields, Deshaun Watson, C.J. Stroud, and Jordan Love, but he takes special pride in having "trained more NFL quarterbacks than anybody else."

Guess Quincy doesn’t like Deon…And also this, the whole thread is hilarious
He was pretty accurate on where he thought Sanders would be drafted. And also this, the whole thread is hilarious
Yeah, there are almost zero 3 star or unrated QBs to ever start for an NFL team.It would be great if true. Also a shock if a lightly recruited 3 star QB became by far the best QB in Gophers History (at least from an NFL perspective)…
Not to mention the standard for gopher QBs in the NFL isn’t a very high one…Yeah, there are almost zero 3 star or unrated QBs to ever start for an NFL team.
smh
Check out this story on NFL qbs and how they were viewed in high school....Josh Allen had to go JUCO and there are all kinds of other guys that were not high profile guys coming out of high school that have made it to the NFL.It would be great if true. The more surprising thing to me is how a QB in the top division of a southern state can throw for 3,941 yards, 54 TD/3 INT his senior year after 3,600 yards 36 TD/3 INT, Gatorade player of the year and be a 3 star. Arkansas came after him hard at the end. To put it bluntly....he's not a 3 star talent and never was.It would be great if true. I thought he said Arkansas never offered him?The more surprising thing to me is how a QB in the top division of a southern state can throw for 3,941 yards, 54 TD/3 INT his senior year after 3,600 yards 36 TD/3 INT, Gatorade player of the year and be a 3 star. Per Strib:I thought he said Arkansas never offered him?
But, in a video on here somewhere Drake said it was fiction that Arkansas recruited him hard at the end. I dunno...happy today that he is our QB. Ask me Friday morning how I feel about it...Per Strib:
"The Arkansas coaching staff, however, opted to recruit dual-threat quarterbacks rather than the 6-5, 230-pound Lindsey, a drop-back passer. The staff showed interest in Lindsey late in the recruiting cycle, but Gophers coach P.J. Fleck and offensive coordinator Greg Harbaugh Jr. already had built tight bonds."
The story was Petrino came back into the fold late at Arkansas during LIndsey's recruitment and they went after him hard but he shut them down completely.
Maybe true, but I also recall a Bobby Petrino video/podcast where he talked about wanting LindseyBut, in a video on here somewhere Drake said it was fiction that Arkansas recruited him hard at the end. I dunno...happy today that he is our QB. Ask me Friday morning how I feel about it...![]()
Doesn't really matter, of course, but Bobby Petrino and the truth rarely go hand in hand.Maybe true, but I also recall a Bobby Petrino video/podcast where he talked about wanting Lindsey
