Q&A: Riley LaChance on Gophers Visit: "It went very, very well."

So as of now we've whiffed on three PGs, is that correct?

Tyus (though I never expected Pitino to get him, his mind is made up on Duke), Lourawls, and LaChance? Am I missing any?

Its ok, I think we can mold Elliot "the Goose" Eliason into a solid point guard this year.

How old were you when the Big Ten last won a national title?

That doesn't mean the conference hasn't been good. If it's only based on National Championships, then the SEC would be one of the best basketball conferences in the country and we all know that isn't true.

FYI, since 2005 the Big Ten has had the second most appearances in the Final Four with 7. The Big East has 9 (they also have had a lot more teams in their conference). The great ACC has had 5. Also, in that same time frame the Big Ten has made four championship appearances. I know winning it all is the ultimate goal, but there is no way anyone can say the Big Ten hasn't been one of the best conferences overall for some time.

The B10 had one good year. Everyone outside of the B10 understands that the conference has been fairly terrible in all major sports for quite a while, so we can see how you all cling to one year of success, but it is in no where near as big of a deal as some you of all try to make it out to be when it comes to recruiting.

Wow totally clueless post. Just ignorant.

Unfortunately I haven't posted enough to figure out how to place two quote's within one retort- nevertheless I completely agree with GII and XMan completely. The Big 10 has been the #1 conference in Final Four appearances over the past 15 years- and it's not just on the back of single or dual entities like other conferences (Big East excluded). In fact in the past 15 years the has been to more Final Fours than any other conference, is second in number of Final appearances and is tied for the most different teams representing the conference, reflecting the depth of the Big 10. Here's the numbers since 1999:

Big 10 13 appearances, 6 Finals appearances and 6 teams in the Final Four
Big East 11 appearances, 5 Finals and 6 teams in the Final Four
ACC 11 appearances, 7 Finals and 4 teams in the Final Four
Big 12 7 appearances, 3 Finals and 4 teams in the Final Four
SEC 6 appearances, 4 Finals and 3 teams in the Final Four
Pac-12 4 appearances, 2 Finals and 3 teams in the Final Four

Yup- sure looks like we are a one-hit wonder Puerto Rico.
