Purdue surprising Illini

Not really surprised at all. The Illini were only favored by 2-3 points. Purdue owns the Illini and has for several years now.

That being said, the Boilers are still terrible and will be right there with PSU and Nebraska at the bottom of the conference.

You guys are rebuilding, but I wouldn't call your squad terrible. There will be growing pains when there's a ton of new guys getting major minutes & there's likely to be major road struggles, but Painter is a really good coach. You'll finish ahead of Penn State and Nebraska, and probably Northwestern, too.

Will be surprised if you're not dangerous (similar to #10 Gophers last year) heading into Chicago. Don't think I can say the same thing for PSU, Neb, and NW.
