Preferred Walk-ons...

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many players can be invited each year as a preferred walk on? Also, what makes a player a preferred walk on as compared to a walk on?

A preferred walk-on is assured a spot on the roster. A walk on, if given the opportunity to try out, has a chance to earn a spot on the roster. Limitations are at the coaches discretion. Diehard's cred?...NONE!

You can open fall camp with 105 players(85 scholarship, 20 walk ons). Preferred walk ons are guraunteed a spot in the 105. Once classes start you can have as many players as you want on your team.
