How did E. Mich. scored 33 points on 275 yards of total offense? No interceptions or fumbled recoveries on defense. Well, it ran back a kickoff for a 96 yard TD, and ran back a free kick punt for an 84 yard TD. Two different returners, both with blazing speed and shiftiness. That’s an additional 180 yards of scoring “offense,” bringing the total to 455 yards E. Mich. generated in the game. If our STs contain E. Mich’s return game, I think we win 35-10. If, however, we cover KOs like we did against Nebraska, I’m going with a tight 28-20 win for the Gophers. STs has never been an offensive weapon in the PJ Gophers arsenal; can’t let it become a defensive liability in this game.
