Predict the Score Thread: Outback Bowl Edition - Minnesota vs Auburn

If the Gophers relay on their standard RPO offensive without using a heavy dose of misdirection to keep Auburns talented D line guessing, Auburn 42 Minnesota 17, Minnesota's defense on the field to much. If they employee more jet sweeps, misdirection runs etc.... Minnesota 32 Auburn 27. My gut says go with the former

Gophers 29
Auburn 28

PJ pulls out the card and says to go for two late

Gophers 27
War Beagles 24

We get the lead, go to a possession running game to burn the clock, but then need a field goal at the end to win it. Yep, we win on a special teams play.

The Gophers need to do to Auburn what Wisconsin did to them. Change the familiar script a little bit.

Casey handles a bad snap and the gophers hold on to win 3-0

MN 31
Auburn 30

Staff pulls out all the stops, including 4th downs. Trust the players to make plays.

ESPN guys all just picked Auburn.

The way Minnesota beat Wisconsin last year was by keeping their offense off the field. The Gophers won the TOP battle by almost 10 minutes. This year, we held the ball for over 42 minutes versus Maryland.
I know this is stating the obvious, but I think TOP will be the most important stat in this game. Long, sustained drives with a lot of 4 yard plays might serve us better than hitting on a handful of 20 yard receptions.
I'm going to take the homer route and predict a lot of short slants, a lot of Rodney Smith and Mo Ibrahim (I think he's got a lot of yards he's ready to uncork). with the final score:

Minnesota 34 Auburn 27
I was pretty close!

Gophers 31
Auburn 24

The offense (Morgan especially) had their best games with multiple weeks to prepare (Purdue and Penn State).

I hope you put a few dollars on your prediction PitinoFan?
