Athan finally finds the sense of consistency that he's been looking for all season, and the defense learns from their mistakes last game to clamp down on defense and keep Purdue's subpar offense at bay. This team overall learns and improves, and will come into Columbus as ready as they can be.

Purdue isn't very good, and this should be a bigger win. After giving up 7 early the defense clamps down and does a good job until giving up some points in the 4th to make it interesting. Gophers could put them away by continuing to play their standard offense, but instead go ultra conservative to put themselves into a precarious situation late. The only reason the Gophers stay on top is they seem to have Purdue's number of late, and somebody will make a play late to seal it.

I think Purdue will be up to win one at home and should be favored, the Gophers flat from the week before. But if the coaches can get the Gophers motivated it might be a high scoring, interesting game: Gophers 23, Purdue 21 (missed a field goal).
