Thanks for the update.Actually just last week or 2, Northwestern replaced Indiana with the most total losses in the history of the programs.

I was obviously responding to your comment -In 2025 they've had two nice wins.
They'll lose in the Big Ten champ game to Ohio State.
Then they'll lose in the 2nd round of the playoff as I expect them to get a first round bye, since the new rules are that those can now go to non-conf champions.
Was that a worthwhile season? I guess it's nice to win 11 games ... then accomplish nothing of note, two years in a row?
What it's time to do is to pay some $$$ to some big, bad mamma-jamma's on the OL.Ducks running into and bouncing off gaggles of Gophers on multiple occasions is what really sticks with me this AM. Receivers running in green grass. Ridiculous tackling effort.
Still a big fan of Lindsey and a healthy Darius but this offense has issues.
Ultimately the product on the field is recruited, selected, developed, prepared by the coaches. We’ve seen major transformations up and down with a change in perspective and leadership. PJ isn’t going anywhere but maybe it’s time to gamble on some up and comers.
The comment stands. If you have a counter-argument backed up by some kind of substance, feel free to post it.I was obviously responding to your comment -
It's coming back to Earth ... guaranteed
Don’t be a goalpost mover because you made a silly comment and over reached.
Improve your best

That's what it's time to do.
I'm talking about a very specific upgrade of the roster. You saw Oregon's OL last night. We need more like thatI disagree NIL is the solution, although it can help.
So they can go sit on the bench at a helmet school for the same or less money than they're making at Minnesota? If Koi Perich or Drake Lindsey leave after the Wisconsin game, then you know that the kids have given up on Flecks approach to winning.
I think the rest of the roster would still get the Hoosiers to 10-2 this season even with just an average QB.Mendoza could well win the Heisman.
All it will take is them getting on just average QB, and they'll be the same thing that Clemson currently is. How is that not true?

With an average QB, they guaranteed lose to Penn State. Very well could lose to Oregon and Iowa.I think the rest of the roster would still get the Hoosiers to 10-2 this season even with just an average QB.
With now more of a track record, access to NIL I think Cignetti will be able reliably identify viable QB options. Maybe even the backups are quality, for all we know.
That's impossible for me to answer unless I can see all rev share & NIL payments right now to all P4 players.Shall Chernoff/PJ/Coyle brain trust allocate all revenue sharing dollars to the O line? How would you break that out.
To the school. The U of MN has a massive endowment. I doubt that came to be just from small gifts.Cuban is not the only wealthy IU booster....Simon Group, Cook Medical, and the Eli Lilly family are heavy contributors to the school.
Just 1 loss still would put them in the CFP.With an average QB, they guaranteed lose to Penn State. Very well could lose to Oregon and Iowa.
That's a huge shift in the season outcome
You made the claim, I don’t have to prove anything. The comment stands. If you have a counter-argument backed up by some kind of substance, feel free to post it.

(And that should be the case, just like in the NFL. Absolutely no reason these guys paydays shouldn't be known.)
No one is talking about Indiana if they go 9-3 in 2024 and 2025.Just 1 loss still would put them in the CFP.
Even losing all 3 would still be likely a 9 win season, something Indiana had NEVER done until 2024.
Maybe they already have more than 1 above average QB on the roster currently. Possible.
I don't think it should take up the entire rev share fund to get a badass OL. Just like it doesn't take up the entire cap in the NFL.Iowa’s NIL fund the Swarm is public record, paltry and comparable to MN I’d guess although nobody knows that outside a few insiders. Do they have a mega donor doing private deals? I don’t know. Who knows what’s going on in those corn fields. Probably some wierd stuff.
In summary my observation is some coaches do more with less. Some do less with more. Some are in the mucky middle.
Where in my post did I make a claim about a specific year? You made the claim, I don’t have to prove anything.
I asked honestly when it was going to specifically happen and you wouldn’t provide an honest non-vague answer and instead try to obfuscate by changing the discussion.
More of your same trite nonsense.
Enjoy your weekend of arguing incessantly with everyone, Sharon Rodgers![]()
Mendoza’s backup is his younger brother. He was already at Indiana when they landed the older brother.I think the rest of the roster would still get the Hoosiers to 10-2 this season even with just an average QB.

Wouldn’t miss Perich. So far this year, he has been awol.If Koi Perich or Drake Lindsey leave after the Wisconsin game, then you know that the kids have given up on Flecks approach to winning.

Not sure if you were implying that I'm one of those people, but for the record I am not.The lengths people will go to argue Cignett isn’t that great but then threaten 40 years in the wilderness if PJ were ever let go is pretty astonishing. Not sure same people are saying these things but remarkable all the same. Even Saban had some not so great years so the boo birds will eventually have their day.
You didn’t, but your cocky certitude that it Would definitely happen, should make supplying a date easy for someone of your superior intellectWhere in my post did I make a claim about a specific year?
I politely asked; where I come from -Your demand for a specific year went above and beyond my post.
So you don’t know about Indiana, check. What I do know
He famously wouldn’t use NIL to supplement his roster, do he list upperclassmen and wasn’t replacing them and it caught up to him.is that Clemson used to be kings of the world, Dabo walked on water. How about now? Exact same coach. Same facilities, same fanbase.
Sounds like you agree at the very least that IU Cignetti has a shelf life on excellence. You didn’t, but your cocky certitude that it Would definitely happen, should make supplying a date easy for someone of your superior intellect

Talk is cheap, but whiskey costs money.

Additionally, most programs have a limited shelf life on excellence and there are replaced.
Your shtick is boring, so I’m done interacting with you.
We lost our best (by far) LB and two very good CBs. I'm no defensive brain wizard but I've always thought that poor CB play really erodes the effectiveness of the safeties. Safety is a position of strength for us on paper, but for some reason they haven't looked as solid this year as last. Again, they play in an overall system and if any of the gears don't mesh it causes unit-wide problems. The offense is frustrating but not that surprising with so much inexperience on that side. But the defense has been extremely disappointing IMO. Other than CB, the defense returned a lot of experience from a good defense last year. They should be better than what we've seen.
The safety’s look like they are not playing very free. They seem unsure and late on most everything. We lost our best (by far) LB and two very good CBs. My impression as well and makes me think they are having to do more to prop up the CBs.The safety’s look like they are not playing very free. They seem unsure and late on most everything.
