Post Game Thread: Gophers Gutsy in Comeback Win, Bowl Eligible!

Talent and age wise, this is a reload /rebuild year. I'm pretty pleased they may end up 6-9 wins. I am puzzled by the offensive game plan today. On a few plays it looked like deep routes were open.

I enjoyed the end. Great TD run by a gutsy kid that struggled early on.

Way to hang around and pull it out in the end. It wasn’t pretty and this team maybe isn’t the best we’ve seen but they are still trying and that’s all I can ask.

Also, I dozed off for most of the third and fourth quarter so will be reviewing later. As far as brutal losses MSU fan despair can’t compare to Toronto rn. Damn.

Absolutely embarrassing. Cannot believe ho many people are ecstatic with this win. Fleck was a pies poor coach and the fans should be ashamed for the product he put on the field and the coaching. Mediocrity at its best.
Put down the bottle.

No one has said they were ecstatic.

Sleep it off

lol....needed a good laugh before turning in for the night....appreciate it.....sorry the team spoiled your night by winning.....

They certainly can be infuriating to watch at times for sure.

At the same time, as I get older each year, I think more & more like Walrus in that I enjoy Big Ten wins, regardless of how it is accomplished. Wins are good & losses are bad. The Gophers now have 4 with a good chance to get 5 & possibly 6 in 2025.

The season goes quick. I now will get the chance to watch the Gophers play one more time in late December.

The lessons all these young players are learning right now, while also getting some winning in, will be invaluable moving forward. Their is quite a bit of RS freshman and freshman playing big minutes, along with guys like Menz and Howard and Brown, etc. And they are at positions like QB, LT, RB, WR, EDGE and CB. Prime positions and we have some serious dogs to build with going forward.

We need to find a bona fide stud WR in the portal. Someone who can work underneath and in the slot because Smith should(will!) be the deep threat we all deserve and need. Maybe Voss becomes that safety valve from the TE position, but that could be two years away. Drake needs someone rn who can separate quickly for all the times that offensive line breaks down. Hopefully next year those leaks are fixed, and a player like that becomes a real weapon. I thought Tracy would be that guy. Maybe he still will.

I've said this many times. Bad/cheesy, or whatever you call the bowl games we play in: It's still a chance to get together with friends and enjoy some beverages and snacks and end (for the past several bowl games) the year with a win. Sure a New Year's day bowl game would be great, but one in December is fun too. Cuz let's face it, we're never gonna achieve Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, etc. status.

So what. Why would you want to have 90% of your program be above average and then have your game day planning and game day coaching be somewhere in the bottom 5-10 percentile of division one college football? He must not have a friend group from high school or college or anywhere else that will tell him the truth if I were a head coach and ran the game day ship like he does, my buddies would duct tape me to the goal post.
If you are going to make up statistics (bottom 5 - 10 percent) why not make it seem precise (e.g., bottom 7.28 percent)?
