POST GAME THREAD!!!!!! GOPHERS BEAT badgers AT wisconsin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

awesome W. Sad Taylor didn't take that last carry to pay dirt to rub salt in the wound and get his well-deserved TD. But walking into Camp Randall and curb stomping the stinking badger will never get old

I thought it was rubbing salt in the wound that he could have scored, and Taylor dropped down and said Game over and the Gophers just kicked your a$$es.

The game was never really in doubt. They couldn’t move the ball and we could. A better person might avoid engaging in schadenfreude with Wisconsin fans. I am not that person. Not today.
It seems every time Fleck loses a game due to a questionable decision on his part, he's on the hot seat. If Fickell isn't on the hot seat with needing a backdoor (simiar to what the Gophers enjoyed last season) to go Bowling, I don't know what to say. Wisconsin was on the cusp of becoming a helmet school when Alvarez was involved in some way, shape, or form, but that didn't happen.

So nice to have a win that wasn't a nail biter like just about every game this season.
  • Both D and O lines looked very impressive and controlled the game. Can't remember seeing so many plays where our QB had that much time. Especially impressive since Ersery was out early.
  • The TD pass to Geers was a dagger. Beauty throw and catch. We have a TE here who could be be continuing the lineage of playing on Sunday's at that position.
  • Perich is flat out fun to watch particularly factoring his true Frosh status and Minnesota kid. He was all over the field today. This kid is going to go in the first round in a few years. We all need to start buying our Duck Duck Beer in the mean time.
  • Ethan Robinson was a huge addition via portal. Great game today.
  • I love Fleck with the exception of his brutal game day coaching and clock management. Thankfully, that wasn't an issue today. WIth that said, we have to call this a succesful season despite the hearbreakers to UNC, Michigan and Penn St and the collapse against Rutgers. The officiating absolutely had an impact on Michigan and Penn St.

Honest Question. Does it look like Fickell aged 10 years just this year? They showed him coming out of half (interview) and I was like DAMN he looks old. Maybe I just haven't been paying attention, but I think this year may have worn on him.

Quinn Carroll had a really good game for us. He has gotten a lot of heat on this board and some of it is justifiable but he played really good at LT.

(Daniels had a good game too).
I think he's generally better than he gets credit for. It's just when he makes a mistake, it's very obvious.

The funny part is I believe Alvarez essentially handpicked his former player with McIntosh and assumedly blessed firing not only Chryst but Leonhard. Hiring unqualified family and friends for important positions is generally b.a.d. for a laundry list of reasons but this one makes me cackle.

Who knows, they could have a banger year next season and all this is forgiven but man, they are getting dangerously close to the rocks and I couldn’t be happier.

Great road win against a rival in transition. Shutout was the only thing that could make it better.

I don't think there's any appetite in Madtown to pay out $40M. It's a team in transition, so next year will be more telling if firing Chryst was the right move. First losing season in 22 years.

Dominated.. Fun to watch mn beating Wisconsin in the trenches

Nice seeing Camp Randall empty out and the Gopher fans in attendance rejoice! O-line hung tough with Ersery out. Max, DT, Jackson and Spencer were terrific! That run by Major was money! D was flying around. The axe is back!

One thing I'm wondering now that the game is over, how is everyone adjusting to the Big Ten being on CBS? Hearing that music for the Gophers, especially during this time of year when the SEC had all their big games like the Iron Bowl that would normally be on CBS, is still a bit of an adjustment. I dug the broadcast, though, good crew and commentary in my opinion.

It was cold brother!
