Jones will go to Northwest Oklahoma A&M. He's being recruited there as a WR, and their WR coach once put a few guys in the NFL at his last job. He told Jones that he knows what it takes to get guys in the league....

Oops, wrong recruit.

The correct name is Northwest Oklahoma A&M Polytechnic Institute Business College of Graphic Design

so actually jeff only needs to raise his ACT score by one point in 3 tries OR raise his GPA by 0.2, not both. That is a huge relief for me as raising it by one in 3 tries should be pretty easy.

Do you have a source for that? I have heard about a million different things regarding his qualification outlook, most of which are not as rosy as this.

I'm going with...

But I'm holding out hope for my alma mater, tiny Augsburg College, which is loading up on Minneapolis kids.

the cartoon picture is an artist depiction of the Gophers Rose Bowl victory versus Washington. love the leather helmets.

I'd be shocked if Jones went elsewhere tomorrow, but then again I've been shocked before!

I was at the Vu and I overheard some guy in a business suit saying JJ is going to be a Gopher. The suit said he was actively recruiting him to Knoxville (Wherever that is). Since I heard it at the Vu, it is pretty much official JJ is a Gopher.

Do you have a picture of him riding a roller coaster at MOA to seal the deal?

From a Strib recruiting article today.

Rivals.com ranks Jones as the nation’s 44th-best recruit and No. 7 running back, but he still needs to qualify academically to play Division I. Washburn coach Giovan Jenkins said Jones is close but needs to lift his grade-point average by two-tenths of a point and raise his ACT score by one point.

The 'and' is interesting. 'Or' would be easier to accomplish.
