Knutson started all 11 games this past season, finishing with eight interceptions to rank second in all of Division II. Knutson also led Southwest Minnesota State with six pass breakups to total 14 passes defensed on the season, ranking 15th nationally in total passes defensed per game (1.27).
 


The one of us angle is always fun. Ball skills seem to be there and I have to imagine those obviously transfer across different levels of college football.

According to Charley Walters (Pioneer Press), keeping Perich probably would’ve cost the Gophers $1 million in NIL. They lured Knutson in for $70,000 and a scholarship, which was less than other schools were willing to offer, specifically Iowa State.

If Parker Knutson acclimates quickly during spring ball, he’ll have every opportunity to make an immediate impact for the Minnesota Gophers. While he doesn’t arrive with the pedigree or hype that Perich brought, he may prove to be another local kid ready to take the next step.

Always skeptical of anything Walters says but good to see confirmation that there are still guys out there who can see the big picture and aren't just chasing the $$$

Hopefully Parker does well here. We should be an attractive destination for safeties considering we have put a few into the NFL recently.

If he was Knutson Parker he'd have to be from New York.

Pnutson Karker would be from California.

Hogeye McCornfield from Iowa

Ugly Joe Shimmelpfennig would be from Wisconsin

Wyatt Cody would be a South Dakota name

Cody Wyatt from North Dakota

Osborne Frost Rodgers if he was from Nebraska
