Other Games Thread - Week 5

Anybody see the end of BC-Col St? Talk about pissing it down your leg by Adazio and BC. Reminds me of the old Gophs...

Bielema and Arkansas are going to beat Texas A&M in a huge upset.

Spoke too soon. Arkansas craps on themselves, misses a late field goal and gives up a 2 play TD drive to A&M. Tie Game Baby!

So sad for Bert. They choked it away.

Washington trying to come back late against Stanford is a surprisingly close game.

Washington loses by 7 to Stanford.

Miami's stadium looks like it must have at least 2 maybe 3 thousand fans at the Duke game. I hope Duke puts 50 on them.

Awesome takedown by Ohio St.'s strength coach.

If only Michigan could tackle like that.

Gordon is overrated IMO. He's so hit and miss. I don't have the numbers to back it up but it seems like most of his big games come against weaker competition. Abdullah is easily the best RB in the conference.

That is because the numbers do not back you up.
2012
B1G champonship vs a ranked Nebraska: 9-216-1

2013
@ ASU (who won 10 games):15-193-2, South Carolina: 25-143

2014
LSU: 16-140-1

The 'bad' games he has are when he runs for 60 or 70 yards and 5 yards per carry such as OSU (only played one half) 15-74, UMN 12-69 Iowa 17-62. Those are his three worst games last year and against Iowa and UMN James White went for 26-125-1 and 19-132-2, so Gordon wasn't even the main back in those games. If that is your 'bad', you are a pretty elite runner. Gordon is far and away the best back in the B1G, Abdullah is good/great but he has much more talent around him to take the pressure off while Gordon has faced 8 and 9 man fronts his entire career.

Nebraska is wearing some really ugly uniforms tonight. Wouldn't even know it was Nebraska if it wasn't clear where the game was being played.

Illinois is tied with Nebraska 7-7 and just recovered a fumble.

Duke appears to be staying with Miami, down 2 into the 2nd half.

And I don't think Florida St. is the #1 team either. Their defense is not nearly as good as last year.

Agreed. They look very beatable by average teams. That said, not sure who's left that they play that can beat them. Miami certainly can't. Duke can't. They do play Notre Dame, so something will have to give.

They just called 3 timeouts in a row in the Mizzou and South Carolina game. Mizzou about to take the lead with 2 minutes left.

Look out Spurrier!

College football sure is a funny game.

Two weeks ago Indiana loses to Bowling Green.

Last week Bowling Green gets annihilated by Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, the team that lost to BG (Indiana) goes on the road and beats a ranked SEC team in Missouri.

Fast forward to this week and Indiana gets blown out at home by Maryland and Missouri goes on the road to beat South Carolina.

Nebraska up 38-14 with 5 minutes left in the game and they are still throwing deep passes.
