What drives me bonkers are the people who bend over backwards to lick his cleats thinking we should appreciate that he even came here and cheering him on for chasing money. It's a joke, too, because if he did the same and went to Wisconsin or Iowa instead, a lot of the "thanks Koi" crowd would be angry. Every person here should call it is what it is across the board. It's bullshit.
Dude didn't so much as send out a perfunctory "thanks to the people of Minnesota" tweet that almost every single kid has ever put out when they've left a program, particularly high impact ones. He's a low character douchebag and I hope, if karma is a thing, it eats him alive in Oregon.
Graduate a Gopher, go pro early, transfer out of conference, transfer down, leave football, never commit here in the first place -- we're good. Transfer within the conference, particularly as a "star" player from our own state and leave like a theif in the night with no acknowledgement to the poor fools dishing out money for season tickets who still sing your praises and defend your total lack of character? Eat shit.
He's a douche and he'll always be my most reviled former Gopher. As far as I'm concerned, if you're okay with any of what Koi did and are trying to do mental gymnastics to justify his actions, you're a milquetoast fan of this football program. It's also a prime example why we don't have any fucking big money boosters. Too many blase fans.
