Tend to agree with you but certainly opposing QBs likely attempted to direct the offense away from him. Same thing happened with Antoine however his football-IQ was off the charts, and with his hustle it often didn't matter. Back to the issue in the piece, as a Duck homer playing away from him would be a natural place to go for an explanation.
Why is that funny? If somebody leaves you, then most people tend not to forgive them. Happens all the time in divorce situations. Human nature.
Dude can't even pronounce Koi's last name correctly. Anyway, tough to say if "Perish" will have a good year. He tried to be a Brett Favre–like hero here in certain situations, and it backfired in more than a few cases... horribly. I've always thought he was a cocky frat boy here, so it will be interesting to see how his personality is in a place with arguably better athletes than there were here—and possibly more cocky frat boys.
Frat boy from Esko? I don’t think so. Cocky, yes. He tried to do too much last year and we had some of the worst cornerbacks on one side of the field that we have had in the past 20 years out there and he probably tried to cover up for that which made things even worse. I’ll miss having them around. He was interesting and a game changer.
Yeah, after his freshman year the expectation was he was going to play like a superstar and while he was not a bad player last year (with the exception of the Cal game) he also never got close to living up to the superstar hype.

I suppose. This is well covered territory I guess. I just find it amusing when others can't understand why a player's leaving would upset people. I would have been shocked if he hadn't immediately become one of the most disliked people on GH... the minute he signed with another team.

I’d prefer he just be honest and just come out and say it was about getting paid rather than claiming he wanted a chance to win a championship. If he wanted that he wouldn’t have signed with the gophers in the first place. Not that the gophers could never make it happen at some point but knowing where we were at the time it was well known it wasn’t realistic in the next 2-3 years. Oh well, we got a few wins with his help while he was here.
I’d prefer that too, but seems to be par for the course. Haven’t really seen any transfers openly state that money was the driving force. It’s perfectly reasonable, but a faux pas apparently.
Honestly I think getting every opportunity last year in all 3 phases and having just an okay year (IMO) likely was a wake up call for him.
My hope too (about him going to Oregon), however if the Duck Homer in the link above is any indication, then the close observers and probably most involved fans know exactly who they got with Koi. We shall see.
I'm watching the Oregon spring game right now. All I've seen is the first TD pass was thrown in between he and another defender. Not watching real closely, but think he only played for a short while?
