One of Coach Kill's messages to Gopher players...

"We have not caught anybody getting around the system," Barta said. "Unfortunately, there's enough evidence in our protocol to say we have to tighten up. It's pretty likely that someone -- I don't know if it's 1 or 21 -- someone has gotten around this process.

"And if it's only one, it makes you doubt all testing."

Did you and Barta skip together the day they taught "resonable doubt" in law school? Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, it's pretty likely the defendant comitted the crime, so please find him guilty as expeditiously as possble.

You mean [one] being involved, or do you have a link citing "multiple players?" As for as the [one] goes, we shouldn't even call him a player as he was booted less than 24 hours after getting busted.

Seriously? Hahaha. You don't count a guy who was operating a a drug house during his football season as a Hawkeye because he was kicked off the team for getting caught? Seriously? It kind of sounds like you are giving Capt. Kirk a little bit of a break.

As far as how many people are involved...

well, it's a pretty well known fact that Robinson failed his test (even Iowa fans admit this, I guess the closeted ones don't), J. Hampton probably (he had supposedly failed other tests and this was his last straw), lots of rumors surrounding K. Davis...

Supposedly 39 players failed drug tests (those will never be released to the media), and the number that keeps getting floated around is that 20 players might have been involved in the drug house.

I get what you're saying, you can say things about the Gophers without any real concrete evidence, but gopher fans should have to go through an entire verification process before saying anything about Iowa...makes sense!

I rest my case.......idiots rule..........

PS:

Judging from your un-medicated hysteria, I will go out on a limb and guess that you are not a registered voter? However, if I am wrong and you are ever summoned for jury duty, do not go!! I will even pay your comtempt fine!!

This isn't the court of law, we aren't held to the standard of BARD, and neither is Barta. In fact, Iowa if kicking Hampton out wouldn't have had to prove he did drugs "beyond a reasonable doubt". That standard of proof only exists in criminal legal cases. It has nothing to do with leaving school or getting kicked out of school. Now, if the Iowa City DA's office wanted to charge Jewel Hampton for the crime of doing drugs, they would be held to that standard.

You really are just pulling things out of nowhere today, nice try though:pig:

Wow - didn't realize my taking a jab at the Hawkeye program would elicit such a irritable response from a "fellow Gopher fan". WTH Klondike? Let Pantherhawk do your dirty work. Indeed I was referring to the recent drug scandal (as Silvio presumed correctly), that was kicked off by DJK's arrest last week.

Obviously there are rumors flying all over the place regarding how many players are involved, etc. We probably won't know the full truth for weeks.

Doesn't it strike you as odd though, that were it just 'one player involved' that the Iowa AD and Ferentz felt the need to call a press conference. Seems like you could handle that one player internally, and then just make a brief press release detailing the situation. Instead, they come out and admit there are flaws with their internal drug testing just days after the DJK arrest. Might they be trying to lessen the blow and surprise before the Bowl game? There's a reason Vegas took the this game of the boards for now...

Where there's smoke, there's usually fire. And Ferentz historically hasn't exactly run a tight ship when it comes to discipline.

Funny that an alleged Gopher fan would get so angry over taking a shot at Iowa...

What is your argument?

It surely can't be dumb enough to think that the NCAA, Iowa or an internet message board should have to be held to the highest standard of proof for a criminal proceeding, can it? You really can't be that dumb, right?

My guess is that you typed that because you have no argument, feel free to prove me wrong.

I'm not hysterical at all. I can see you have nothing to really counter anything I said so you went thise route. It's a pretty standard ploy for someone who has absolutely zero argument. I have no idea why someone who obviously has no idea when the appropriate standard of proof should be used keeps referencing "jury duty", "jury", and anything else to make it sound like you have any idea what you are talking about.

Sorry, but I grow tired of the unfettered stupidity that runs away like a snowball among some of the synaptically challenged here.

You must also have grown tired of correctly using a standard of proof like "reasonable doubt", so you just plop it down whenever someone accuses Iowa football of anything.

Argument for what? All of the current information supports what I said and refutes the blabbering about 20, 30, 40, 50 Hawkeyes running a drug house, failing drugs tests or cheating the test in mass etc etc etc... Correct, there is no standard here, so feel free to continue to look and act like a clown.

lol...like I need to counter statements loaded with words like: rumors, suppossedly, they said, maybe etc etc??? Please keep going, this is fun!

Klondike is clearly NOT a Gopher fan, and most likely a petty little Hawkeye who feels like its funny to 'infiltrate' and opposing teams message boards and drop all kinds of inflammatory nonsense hoping that any of it will stick and burn people up. Just browse his 100 and some odd posts since joining in October. Nothing but arguing and belittling others.

Thanks for the contributions Klondike Hawkeye Fan, you've earned the use of the 'Ignore' feature from me.

The only thing more sad than a troll is a troll who actually disguises their moniker to make it seem like he is a fan of the team he is trolling. Congrats Klondike, you are truely one of society's finest.

Didn't take much for that rabid pig farmer/hawkeye DNA to come rushing out of you.......

You mean like sitting here and libeling these guys all day without any driver other than a pipe dream? Oh wait, it's ok because this isn't a court room--who cares if I sound like a moron on my own time at the gopherhole!

You said you rest your case, that implies that you were making an argument and that argument is over, so you tell us what your argument is.

Ok, I know you want to play lawyer on another message board sometime, so i'll help you out.

When people are casually talking about the Iowa football program being in trouble, they aren't held to "beyond a reasonable doubt". Iowa, when kicking a guy off a football team, isn't held to "beyond a reasonable doubt" (as seen by them kicking DJK off the team prior to his conviction). This really is an issue that you need to get down for when you play lawyer online next time because almost every lay person understands this simple concept.

I am sure you only posted the stuff about the Gopher football team taking "jump rope" to booster their grades because it could hold up to a high standard of proof, right? Probably not...

Such a mouth on you! Did you lose the manual and can't remember how to shut it?

Someone run his IP addy and call the IC Police. I am guessing that he is the drug kingpin, and he's a little pissed off that his biggest buyers are leaving the team. And now he can't get his Iowa logo gear from them any more.

Can you 'try' again in English?

Libel?

Are you serious?

How many weeks into your first year of law school did you quit?

Wow, the big brains are coming out of the woodwork now!
