I think the offensive players and coaches both share in the blame but I do agree that more of the blame for what happened falls on the coaches (specifically Fleck and Sanford) than it does the players.
Defense held them to 14 and 7 of those 14 were a direct result of a short field we gave them. So the D absolutely did enough to easily win a game like that. Offensive gameplan sucked and the execution was horrible.
I think that game was a massive wakeup call to Fleck (at least I hope like hell that it was) but only time will tell if they truly learned their lessons from it. The first half against Nebraska was a positive sign of things changing on offense, hopefully they build on that and we see more of that kind of offense over the remainder of the season. If we do, good things are going to happen for this team.
