Good teams like OSU and Alabama have hit an impasse I think. When winning the game/division/conference/national championship is a forgone conclusion, what makes the game exciting?

NDSU has had some issues with this, even in a 20,000 seat stadium. Tickets may be sold, but there are empty seats for more games than you'd think.

Well, that makes sense because there is limited appeal for D2 football beyond the parents and girlfriends.

I doubt many fcs teams are drawing anywhere near 20k a game. Even 10k is a lot.
