Who would have thought that we'd trail for at least 4 minutes in the game?
 

Gophers 6-5

Winona looks good.
Gophers missing some shots.
Al made a layup.
Colt is dominating inside.
 




Where do they find these announcers? We do have a broadcasting program, right? Is this really the cream of the crop?
 

Winona 14-12.

Minnesota second 5 has their hands full.
Tucker blew by Hollins.
Walker good inside.
 

Where's Devoe? Is he not playing for some reason?
 





If anybody took a peak at the OSU game on BTN today the announcing was absolutely horrible...sounded like the kid just hit puberty.
 


I still think Devoe has some issues with his leg...and with a game that counts on Friday...good night for him to sit out...

Glad to see our half court offense still sucks...

Is Al allergic to scoring? That guy misses more open shots and layups...
 



Al is really wild - needs to settle down,
If Winona could shoot they would be ahead.
 

Looks like the Gophers are getting suckered into playing Winona's style.
 



Gophers 37-32
Winona defense and size is much closer to the Gophers.
Gophers really sloppy.
Lineup has mostly been starters + Trevor and Austin.
 

Can someone give a quick summary of the starters (and Mbake) for those of w/o the BTN broadcast?
 


pretty sloppy first half for the gophers, especially in the halfcourt offense. we need to get out in transition. definitely trying to get the ball to the post but at times we are really forcing it.
 

This game has been brutal...we can't seem to pass the ball to our interior guys...Nolan and Aremlin each got two fouls early and Devoe is out so Hoff was running the point....ugh!

I fantasize about RW actually driving the ball past his guy and going to the hole...Austin Hollins looks like a Frosh tonight and Ahanmisi is over matched by their gaurds...not a good sign of things to come from him.

I love the way Colt and Mo catch the ball and go at the basket...Mbakwe needs to settle down on the offense end and he will be much more effective...we miss Devoe in this game.

Same starters as first game. Walker played a little with flashes of good (same with Chip). Hollins and Trevor have played the most of reserves. Trevor made a few turnovers but has dominated the glass. He got a technical for slapping the backboard. Made a good scoring drive. Al missed his threes badly. Penetrated with ease but turned it over - one was not his fault. Then he sat. Blake has been covered - few shots. Rodney has rebounded well. Gophers missing free throws.
 

Gophers Live Stats Package

Does anybody else watch Live Stats? Does it work for you? The play by play was OK through 16-15 then went dead and about 30 minutes later jumped directly to 32-37 without any of the intervening play being accounted for. And there are no team stats that I can see. I have to add up the individual stats to get the team totals. Anybody else have these problems?

I've "watched" dozens of games on Live Stats, and I mean Gophers, MIAC, Northern Sun, you name it. The NeuLion (brand) package that the Gophers use is probably the worst I've ever seen. It's horrible.

And the Gophers don't provide play-by-play with their post-game box scores. I mean, the MIAC provides play-by-play. If I had to give a grade, the Gophers NeuLion is a D-. The average MIAC team is a B+. What gives here? This is embarrassing.
 

Relax.

Indiana is about to lose at home to Ferris St. and Tennessee is losing big to Indianapolis.

Could be worse.

Thanks...kinda. You coulda given me some better news! haha...I saw Rodney has 6 rebs though, that's nice...more pts out of him would be better. Is he not driving or just not getting any good looks in general?

Tried to drive once - turned it over - has not tried again
